Bug Alyx Here (Prev 2)

The original “Bug Alyx” page was getting a bit long, so I’m archiving it and trying out a messageboard. You can still comment on it, but I thought 600 messages was a bit much! 🙂

Hi again, Alex. I just graduated high school. Unfortunatley I only had a few sort of friends at high school. I do have a few friends who are very kind 🙂 . Unfortunately they live very far away. I feel isoated. I also realized that I was bisexual recently (That was interesting 🙂 ). I have looked at lgbt communities at local colleges, however, many of the colleges in my area closed for the summer.
In conclusion, I am simply feeling scared, and lonely and a wee bit confused. Do you have any suggestions? Do you think that you could help me?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I could tell by the response to my last post that you sincerely care.

    • Kayla says:

Although I am not Alex I thought I might give you some ideas. First off congrats on graduating high school. That is a big accomplishment! One thing that you can do is look for lgbt groups on campus. I don’t know where you live or how big the community is however; most colleges will have a lgbt group. Prepare for it to be small. Depending on your interests there are some organizations that have lgbt chapters like the Sierra Club. There are also lesbian softball leagues which will run in the summer as well. We’re out there we’re just really hard to find sometimes.

I remember when I first came out to myself. I was just starting junior college. We had no organizations however; I found out one of my professors was gay. I learned a lot from her and felt connected, which was nice. I understand the feeling of isolation. We didn’t have all the internet resources that are now available for your generation. I didn’t find connections until I went off to the University. Enjoy your college years. There is no hurry. I’m sure you will meet and make a lot of nice friends.

  2. Alyx says:

    Hi Amy,

I think Kayla had some good suggestions, thanks Kayla! 🙂 And if anyone else has some good ideas for Amy, please chime in.

Good job getting through high school, btw. That’s a very tough time for many people (I don’t have any really fond memories myself *g*). But hang in there, because if you intend to go to college it’s a great place to meet all sorts of new people and lots of gay/lesbian ones too! It’s normal to feel isolated, even if you have lots of friends. I think it’s a little better now, but when I was your age I didn’t dare come out to anyone. So yes, I felt very isolated. One thing that helped was reading all about other lesbians (both historical books and trashy novels *g*), so I knew I wasn’t alone. Do keep in touch with those understanding friends of yours, even if only online or via phone calls.

Most states have LGBT community centers, so go check them out. Look in your local paper or online, and give them a call. It might be just a struggling little place, but it’ll make you feel good to make the effort and reach out, trust me. And it might also be a place full of cool gay people, including kids like yourself. Just Google your state and LGBT and you’re bound to find something, or check out my link down below.

Here are a few links to resources for gay youth as well:
    GLSEN
CenterLink (lists a bunch of GLBT centers in various states)
Point Foundation (this is a neat program that assists LGBT youth through education, and this is their resource page)
About.com GLBT Teens (this is a good page for newbies into the community)

There is also a neat site for gay teens I came across once, just a fun site to hang out rather than educational. But I can’t find it now! I’ll keep looking and let you know if I find it. In the meantime, hope some of this helps. Kayla’s right that some places are magnets for lesbians, like softball leagues. Or if a known LGBT person is putting on a show, you can sometimes meet people in the audience! I once got hit on watching a Bi singer put on a free show at the local YMCA. I was just leaning against the fence watching her, and some cute girl came up and leaned against the fence too. Then started leaning against me! God, I still remember the feel of her arm. 😀 Anyway, you never know, so don’t give up, okay? Summer won’t last forever, and once college starts it’ll be a whole new world. In the meantime, take some time to learn about the community…it’ll stand you in good stead when you start dating. *g*

Oh, one last link. This woman has some tips on how to spot other queer types: Effing Dykes (read her blog from the beginning). Good luck! 🙂

    • Alyx says:

Addendum: I was chatting with Fizzy, and my brat pointed out how potentially dangerous it is to go writing to strangers on the internet. (Though I am less strange than some, trust me. *bg*) (And yes, the irony of my brat coming up with the commonsense advice is not lost on me!) Anyway, I was thinking about the gay/bi aspect of your searching, and I completely forgot about the kink aspect! But if you’re here reading my blog, it’s highly likely you’re that way inclined, so let me address that as well.

You’re still very young, and I don’t know how much experience you have (nor I am asking about your private business), but TAKE IT SLOW, okay? It’s one thing to find a queer community, and quite another to explore the kink community. You can get hurt in either, but you can really get physically (and emotionally) damaged with the latter. There’s lots of time to learn about everything, but it only takes one mistake to have memories that will haunt you forever. And wouldn’t you rather have memories of how beautiful and loving and HOT it can be? *g* So be careful about exploring that world, okay? Concentrate on meeting good people, and the other stuff will follow. And don’t believe everything you see on the internet either! For all you know I could be a pervy sweaty guy with a bad comb-over who does this for kicks. *shudder* I’m not, but you don’t know for sure, do you? So take care and take your time, missy! *stern look*

      • Amy says:

I promise I will take my time 🙂

        • Alyx says:

Good, I’m glad to hear it. 🙂

Amy, you posted something else that looked awfully like a story, so I took it down. I’ve had other people try to post stories in the comments section, and that’s not something I want to encourage, no matter how good the work is (and that piece you posted was quite touching, actually *smile*). However I DO want to encourage people to express themselves, so I have a suggestion for you: If you ever have a chance to visit the Sapphic Kink Forum link I have in my Blogroll list, you will see Pippin has a “library” of sorts to host members’ stories. Right now the site is being renovated, but hopefully she will have it back up again soon, and you can check it out.

(Scoot, if you’re still around, the same goes for you, okay? 🙂 )

In any case, I do appreciate you sharing something so personal with me, and I hope you understand why I couldn’t leave it up.

      • Kayla says:

I actually had that experience when I was young. I thought I was chatting with a young girl. It ended up being creepy guy and it broke my baby lesbian heart. The internet is good for social support but not for a dating pool. You do have to be careful.

        • Amy says:

Thank you Kayla, I will keep that in mind. It helps a lot.

          • Amy says:

Also, I think that it is funny that you say, “It broke my baby lesbian heart.” 🙂 I like that you refer to your past self as a “baby lesbian.”

  3. mil says:

    Hi Amy,
Just wanted reiterate something Alyx said. It’s true that it’s normal to feel lonely and confused about all this, and know that there are millions of teens who feel exactly the same way. So, you are not alone in your loneliness (I’m not sure if that’s a comfort or not :)). It sucks a bit at the mo, but gosh, you have SO MUCH FUN ahead of you! 🙂

  4. Basketball Girl says:

Alyx the problem with having a new page is that no one, as of yet, has asked for a story on the ‘Bug Alyx 2’ page, which was part of the premise of the original ‘Bug Alyx’ page. So based on that logic, the new page is for the same purpose, no? Just saying you are opening yourself up for comments about the necessity of new and entertaining stories by impatient individuals. And no, I’m not implying anything, just making an observation 😉

    • Alyx says:

Well, the benefit of having a new page is that the consequence of implying I need motivating in that area is no longer visible. So feel free to stir that up again, BG. I’m sure that newbies will be wondering why no one’s bugging me so far. 😉

      • Basketball Girl says:

As much as I would love to poke the cuddly, wuddly teddy bear…
I am a bit distracted at the moment with RL trying to herd erratic, irrational, brilliant cats. But if I can figure out how to catch these cats or at least get them going in the same direction, and no one has poked or prodded the teddy bear, I will ensure I do it some justice 🙂

  5. ashtale says:

*poke* Just out of curiosity… how is it going with you writing? Is there another Cassie and Nicky on the way? I don’t want to be a nudge… just thought I’d ask. 😉

    • Alyx says:

Ah, Ash, can’t resist, can you? *spinning you around, delivering a stinging smack to your rear* Behave yourself! There is a Cassie and Nicky in the future, but I’m not writing right now. I’m preparing to entertain a guest….well, more than a guest. *smile* But I’m sure I’ll have lots of inspiration soon! 😉

  6. sandy says:

I’d settle for a cheeky wee blog post myself, maybe titled ‘How Alyx is Getting On’.
Not going to bug you though..

    • Alyx says:

Hey Sandy! Yes, I am overdue for a blog post. I’ll try to get to it soon, okay? At the moment there’s no rest for the wicked….*sigh* But I’m sure you know how that is! 😉

  7. allm9 says:

I wanted to say I’m trying really hard to listen to what you told me. I have duct taped my mouth and sat on my hands to help me stay outta of trouble. I’m not even gonna ATTEMPT to bug you. Just wanted to say when you write it, I look forward to reading it. (but i guess in some ways this could be seen as bugging you.and if so..I apologize in advance)

    • Alyx says:

I don’t really mind people bugging me. That’s what this page is for, after all. I just respond to outright bratting in the time-honored way. 🙂

But I do appreciate your effort to stay out of trouble, Allm9. I’m sure it can’t be easy. *teasing* And I’m looking forward to writing it as much as you’re looking forward to reading it. Let’s hope neither of us has to wait forever. 😉

  8. Amy says:

How can I safely meet lesbians or bisexual women into domestic discipline?

    • Amy says:

Please disregard that last post. I think that I will wait awhile to find someone.

    • Alyx says:

Hi Amy, even though you said to disregard your question, I will quickly post a reply. Yes, I think you should wait a bit to get into a serious DD relationship….learn about yourself first and what you like (and don’t like). This is more important in the sense of finding a partner rather than finding someone who’s compatible kink-wise. Most of the time you won’t be relating in the bedroom, you know. You have to enjoy each other for so many other reasons too.

That said, I think you should continue to read and educate yourself, check out different boards and interact with people in a gradual, friendly, low-key way. You can never tell when you will find someone who “clicks” with you. I met TMT in a vanilla context, because we shared an interest in writing fan fiction. So don’t be in such a rush — enjoy the discovery about all the interesting things in life, okay? (And for goodness’ sake, be safe and don’t trust anyone you don’t really know, even if you think you do!)

  9. Complaint: I’m getting adicted to this site, Alyx! The characters, the descriptive settings, lol, and of course those marvelous spankings. Whew, there are some very firm-handed and talented spankers here. *Rubs my bottom.

  10. Best regards to TMT, Alyx.

  11. Kayla says:

Okay I’m going to say sorry in advance but I just can’t help it. I’m currently on summer break and well, I’m on lock down today due to an overly nurturing gf. When you take the outdoor frolicking girl and house bound her you end up unleashing major boredom. Soooooooo to kill some time I managed to stumble onto some old posts on Loki’s SB website. I have to say you guys had a lot of fun back in the days. I laughed a few times at your ridiculousness. I also learned a little more about you Alyx. Ahhhh the pieces are slowly coming together. 🙂 For one I didn’t know you were “short”. I cracked up over the little knee comment but this post by Loki really got me going.

    “Loki Reply:
    July 25th, 2010 at 7:21 am

Well if you listen to Alyx she apparently wants to tape it. I reckon that’s just her inner porn yearnings making a break for the surface again.

(It’s hard for her to keep her clothes on when there are reflective surfaces around, you know.)”

Oh my, to funny. I missing SB I wish it would come back but that is up to Loki. You know I haven’t been on very long but I have noticed some missing faces. Kind of sad but I’m sure they are all busy with life and are doing well. Thanks again Aylx for hosting this blog. It’s been extremely fun.

Now if only someone would *ahem* write *ahem* a story *ahem* life would be even better. I feel like I’m watching summer reruns. 🙂

    • disneydyke says:

Kayla, thank you for saying this! I second it! Not only that, I thought I was the only one that read old posts and went: oh, these are funny ladies! I was actually a lurker back then but I didn’t get all the jokes (my English was worse). And yeah, I’ve gone back to those posts a few times. I loved that post about threesomes. I will admit I thought: “wow, everyone is soooo cool!!!”
Quite the nutty fan, huh? Don’t worry, I’m not dangerous and I live far far away. 😉
I also agree with you thanking Alyx for hosting this blog. It’s extremely fun, I agree.

      • Alyx says:

Nice to know all you former lurkers have come forward. Even if whatever we joked about back then will come back to haunt us. 😀

    • Alyx says:

You know, I don’t even recall what THAT post was referring to, but I agree with you — we had tons of fun back in the day. *g* Did you ever see her “Team Loki” and “Team Alyx” post, complete with images? Or the pic she created of me arm-wrestling? She took the piss out of me (as the Brits say) on a regular basis, which is why in my heart she’ll always be a brat who needs a good spanking. 😀 But a Brat Extraordinaire, for sure…like none other.

I don’t know if Sappho’s Brats will ever return, but I cherish all it was to us. And now that my holidays are coming to a close (i.e., I’m recovering from them *g*), I’ll have more time to read her latest stories and write some reviews.

As far as “summer reruns” are concerned, get used to it, babe. *g* I AM newly inspired to write more, but who knows when I’ll have time and how long it will take! 🙂

      • Alyx says:

Oh, and regarding me being short: As TMT once memorably told me, “I am tall in stature, if not in actual height.” 😀

      • espy80 says:

Very curious now… You mentioned way above:
“I don’t know if Sappho’s Brats will ever return, but I cherish all it was to us. And now that my holidays are coming to a close (i.e., I’m recovering from them *g*), I’ll have more time to read her latest stories and write some reviews.”

What happened to the site!!! *wails* at this rate I’m going to have to figure out where I saved my e books she had on sale… Hope I synced my reader… I was a loyal supporter albeit lurker at the time….

        • Alyx says:

Whoa, this was buried deep! My remark was not due to the recent disappearance, Espy. I don’t know why the site disappeared recently…I didn’t read it daily and so missed any announcement. (I think you can just do a search on Amazon for her ebooks, though.)

However it is a good time to remind people that if they really like what an author is putting out, they should make it known. I have a friend that read her stories regularly but never posted on her blog. (She never posts on mine either, so it’s no one you know.) Then she was complaining that the site disappeared. I told her she should’ve commented when she had the chance. Letting people know they’re appreciated is just good manners! Thus spake Alyx-the-Top. 😀

          • espy80 says:

Awwww shucks. I never delurked on her site before before but I did send a couple of little emails a loooong while back when I first found and read her whole back catalogue *vbg* … On the plus side part of her site showed back up today… Progress but nowhere to post methought ..,

            Good advice though! 🙂

            • Alyx says:

I wasn’t talking about you, Espy. The fact that you wrote her an email is awesome. I was just addressing people like my friend, who sort of take advantage of the stories put out there for free, but never take the time to express their appreciation. People like you and every single person who has written to me or posted on my blog are not who I am talking about….I deeply appreciate all of YOU! 🙂

  12. Amy says:

Make sure that TMT trys jello before she leaves the United States. I’m pretty sure that they don’t have it over there. It’s always funny watching the expression on people’s faces when they try (or even see) jello for the first time.

    • Alyx says:

Actually, Amy, I believe they do have jello, except they call it “jelly.” But she did have some (as well as several other interesting things, including raw fish) while she was over here. 🙂

      • SP says:

raw fish … my all time favorite is tuna, so tender it melts in your mouth, yum! What’s your fav Alyx?
Hope TMT enjoyed it too. 🙂

        • Alyx says:

I enjoy a good spicy ahi (Hawaiian for Yellowfin or Bigeye tuna) sushi, and TMT enjoyed it too (much to my surprise). And recently I had hamachi (Japanese amberjack or yellowtail) which was “torched” but still mostly raw, as a sushi ingredient, and enjoyed it very much. And yes, TMT had two helpings, so she must’ve liked it as well. 🙂

  13. Amy says:

I am going to a conservative Christian bible camp in about a week. I am very excited, but I am also worried that the people at the camp (especially the preachers) will convince me that I need to repent.

Don’t worry, I am not going to come out at the camp, but still, they will say things, like “You need to repent.” They will try to convince all of the campers not to listen to certain music, or they might try to tell us this philosophy: “I need to stop doing what I want and do what God wants.” etc.

The problem is that most of the campers think this stuff is legitimate, so there are not very many people questioning anything.

Now, I make this camp sound like a horrible place. It’s really not. There is a waterfall and my friends and I ride tubes down it every summer. I hang out with friends and swim in lovely streams and play snipe and play volley ball.

In fact, I have a funny story:
Last summer, I stayed in a cabin with about 15 girls. It would never occur to any of these girls that a lesbian or bisexual girl could ever be staying in their cabin. There was one girl, let’s call her Susie. Susie thinks she’s really popular and she thinks she is always right. One of the first days in our cabin she said, “Hey! I think we all need to be more confident in our bodies, so I propose that we all take our clothes off and walk around naked in our cabin for the next two weeks.”
Let’s just say it was a very entertaining two weeks… if you get what I’m saying.

Oh! and we go “Crickin’ “. Basically, I wake up at 6:00 in the morning with a couple of friends. We throw our swim suits on and jump in the creek and we wash our bodies. It’s always really fun and it’s a great alternative to a shower :).

In conclusion, I am just very worried that I will be stuck there for two weeks listening to a bunch of people telling me I need to change. I am worried that I will feel horribly torn, which I shouldn’t because I should be proud to be bisexual. Does any one have any suggestions of how I can enjoy the good parts of camp and remember who I am through out the bad parts. Because I want to always remember who I am and be proud of who I am.

    • Alyx says:

Amy, I think Kayla had good advice. Since you obviously can’t come out in such an environment (and even if you are tempted to confide in someone who seems sympathetic, resist it! Such a situation is dangerous because of the way these people view homosexuality), just do your best to shrug off what you hear.

I personally could not stand being in such an environment. When I was a child I was forced to attend a conservative Christian church, and while I knew I was different from all these people and was never in danger in wanting to be reformed, I was deeply unhappy being surrounded by it. I just need to be surrounded by people whom I feel accepted by if I’m going to enjoy myself.

But if you are able to ignore what doesn’t apply to you (just understand they are ignorant and have a desperate need to believe what they believe) and enjoy the activities you like, then you can have a good time. Good luck.

  14. Kayla says:

I think you should do just that. Enjoy the good parts of the camp and remember who you are. You have the answers. I think the clothing optional approach is a good way to enjoy the camp and remind you of whom you are. But hey I can be a little on the pervy side sometimes. *L* Oh and there is nothing wrong with repenting. I’m sure there are some naughty little things you are sorry about. Think of repenting as the closest God can get to putting you over his knee. Seriously though, you sound like you have a lot of good memories and have made some fun friends at this camp. Its two weeks just have a blast.

  15. Amy says:

I love your response, Kayla. Interesting way to imagine God :). Yes, there are things that I need to take care of… like my inability to get to bed on time.

  16. Amy says:

I have kind of an awkward question:
    [Censored by blog owner]

    • Alyx says:

Amy, normally I do try to be as helpful as I can in answering questions. But I’ve removed yours because I don’t understand why you would ask such a thing. If it’s a serious question, feel free to send me an email and I will answer. But it reads very much like the kind of thing a troll might post as a joke, and my sense of humor doesn’t extend that far, I’m afraid. If it’s a legitimate concern, I don’t mean to make you feel bad for asking. However I’m going to err on the side of caution and remove it lest anyone find it offensive. Heck, I think even some straight guys might find that offensive! 😀

      • Kayla says:

Omg now I want to know what it was! I mean if a guy would find it offensive….wow! Lol Just playing. How is the visit going? I believe you have another guest arriving soon? Hey I have a story request btw, ummm could you maybe think about ummm writing a C&N story where Cass is the one might have done something wrong it doesn’t get Nicky in trouble. Just for a change in pace. In Infallible tops seems to be the norm

        • Kayla says:

Okay I should have proof read that. Missing a who (or whom..that always confused me) and an and.

        • Alyx says:

I do have another guest coming soon…what a memory you have! The visit was heavenly, thank you. And very….warming. *bg*

I have another Cassie & Nicky story in mind, as it happens. But your idea is a very good one. I’d like to explore that topic one day, and I suppose that couple would be a natural choice, wouldn’t they? Hmm…

Lord knows we tops are not infallible….I know I’m wrong at least 1% of the time. 😉

          • pippin says:

‘I know I’m wrong at least 1% of the time.’

That gave me a good laugh. Thank you, Alyx. 😀

          • Kayla says:

Only 1%? Okay that was funny. Humm, so is this Cass/Nicky story going to be about an unclean car? I mean they do say that art mimics life. 🙂

          • Alyx says:

pippin: Glad you enjoyed it! Especially since I will be paying for it, I’m sure. *g*
TMT: Darling, you know I’m only kidding. And those talks might be fun, but aren’t exactly fair. After all, I’m in no position (boom-boom) to argue in those instances, am I? 😀
Kayla: No, no stories about cars! But I will have to have a story with a cane in it soon. For art’s sake, of course. 😉

            • Kayla says:

Really??? For some reason I thought you were an anti cane person. From what I have read else where, canes are SCARY. Then again I guess it depends on who wields it.

              • Pixie says:

Canes are very scary but that is kind of the point! They need to be wielded by someone who knows what they are doing though. ‘Lucky’ for me PT is very practised in their use 😉

              • Alyx says:

I was sort of anti-cane. Well, it was more I was never PRO cane. And I was never really longing to try it either. But when you fall in love with an English woman *g* you definitely have that possibility looming in your future. 🙂 Anyway, it was an interesting experience, and I thought I’d share it with others who, like me, never had the same kind of background experience that those who grew up with it did. (Working on vacation pics first, though. Maybe this weekend I’ll have more time to post.)

And yeah, it definitely depends on who wields it!

  17. Pixie says:

Pippin you will always be missed!
Alyx, can’t wait for the new story. Love Cassie and Nicky. Reread them all yesterday and pointed Sir in their direction. Holding my breath ………….

    • Kayla says:

And Pixie is back as well. I have been rereading them as well. I like to call them summer reruns. *L*

    • Alyx says:

Always glad to see pippin and Pixie and ALL the brats! 😀 And bless you for all for putting up with the summer reruns. *LOL* I will try to get working on a new season for y’all soon.

  18. ashtale says:

Hi, Alyx! Just popped by to say hi. Hey that rhymed. *LOL* I must say, these comments make me giggle. Who would’ve thought that a comment section could be this much fun. I won’t ask for a story this time. You know what they say…one must never put pressure on the genius… or was it never put pressure on a Top? Hmmm. 😀 Anyways hope you are well, and that you had a lovely vacation. I’m sure you had. 😉

    • Alyx says:

Hi Ash! It’s good to “see” you…are you behaving? 😀 The saying is: “One must never put pressure on a toppy genius.” But we toppy non-geniuses appreciate it too. *vbg*

I did have a lovely vacation, thank you. It’s dealing with the aftermath that’s a bit tough. I’d hoped to have a new post this weekend, but it didn’t happen. However I’ll have one soon, promise.

      • ashtale says:

Toppy non-genius? Well that trumps bratty non-geniuses. *LOL* I’m always behaving, especially around your blog, your Toppyness. *Angel face*

I’m sorry about the tough aftermath. *big hugs* Take your time on you post… though I am soooo looking forward for an update. 😉 Not that I am putting pressure on the Toppy genius, because that is not a good idea.

  19. Glad you had that vacation, Alyx. I’ll refrain from stomping my foot and demanding new stories right away from either you or TMT, lol. 😉

  20. kiaigrrl says:

    *poke* 😉

    • Alyx says:

Hullo, Kiaigrrl! Long time no see! How did the move go? Are you in your new digs yet? Oh, and *swat!* for the *poke*! 😀

Hi Alyx! The move went well and the kitties surprisingly slept the entire drive. And I learned all kinds of fun things along the way like slot machines are mean and silos are real and not just in the movies. *giggle* Hopefully we’ll be in our own place at the end of August. I’m trying to get used to the heat and weird bugs here – haha. How are you? I look forward to whatever you write very soon! 🙂

        • Alyx says:

I don’t envy you…moving is heck! Glad to hear you’re settling in okay. (TMT said all the bugs she saw here were MUCH bigger than the ones back home too. *g*)

  21. SC says:

    Hi Alyx 😀
I’m off to bed too late in the evenings and it’s your fault because I can’t put your stories away, but now I’m running out of novels (oh nooo) and it’s your job to make sure I have something to read in the evenings/night, so you MUST write at least three stories every single day, agree? (well, a girl have to try, right? :P)

Anyway, I’m looking forward to more stories. mainly the ones about Nicky and Cassie (I think I have a crush on Cassie *giggle*)

    SC

    • Alyx says:

Nice try, but you’re entirely responsible for keeping your own bedtimes, SC! However I’m very glad you’re enjoying my stories. 🙂

Oh, and all the brats have a crush on Cassie. *bg*

      • SC says:

bah. well, it was worth a try 😉
But can I ask you what relation you have with norway? I have been sneaking around on your blog and picked up stuff like “yey norway” (or something like that) “your norweginess” and “julenisse”. I’m just sooo curious cause I’m a norwegian 😛

        • disneydyke says:

Ok, I’m not Alyx and I should have learnt not to answer questions that were not asked to me: is your name ______, young lady? I thought so! That’s me in a trip down memory lane…
          Anyway…
Our Ash is Your Norwegianess, and Alyx is Your Toppyness. And come to think about it, now you are Your Norwegianess too!! Yay Norway!! And Yay Main Street USA, of course…

  22. SC says:

I see. well good to know, I was really curious about that 😉 So I should ally with Ash and write norwegian with her so no one understands? yey norway! 😉

but I don’t think she want to share that title with anyone, so just call me – Your OverTheTopCoolestAndMostAwesomeGirlInTheWholeWorldness.. It’s fine with me 😀

    • Then you will be Your Norwegianess II. Sorry, one doesn’t get to choose one’s title, it’s called upon us. 😉

Pretty sure “called upon us” doesn’t actually go well here but I’m sure you got it.

      • SC says:

okay. Although “Your OverTheTopCoolestAndMostAwesomeGirlInTheWholeWorldness suits me better.” *grins*- What ______ness are you? 😛

    • Alyx says:

I don’t think Ash needs any more naughty encouragement, thank you! What is it about Norway that inspires mischief? *g*

As for Disneydyke, she’s Your Spanish Bratness, I think. 😀

      • ashtale says:

Well considering Noway has 5 million inhabitants and America has more than 300 million… I would say there are more brats over there, your Toppyness. *smirk* Though the percentage can go against us… I don’t know.

But thanks for looking out for me. 😉 I am always on my best behaviour on your blog. 😀

      • disneydyke says:

But I am not a brat!!! And this is not whining or pouting, this is just communicating my disagreement. 😉

      • SC says:

what? I have never ever heard of a norwegian brat. That was new to my ears!

    • ashtale says:

Yay! More Norwegian people! *hugs* Though I will not write in Norwegian on Alyx’s blog out of respect for her. It is her blog and it is in English. Though she could use google translate anyway… even if it is a little faulty.

But… I have a blog too. You can write to me in Norwegian there hehe.

      • disneydyke says:

A little faulty? A little faulty? Google translator needs a darn good spanking!

      • SC says:

I was just kidding. but darn google translate, it would have been a little fun make other curious. You can’t deny that 😉

        • ashtale says:

LoL! Absolutely! Though it is even funnier when spoken, because then they really don’t have a clue. 😀 It must be one of the best things about speaking a language that most can’t.
Yay Norwegian Brat Power! *high fives*

          • disneydyke says:

Yeah, we spaniards can’t never be sure we won’t be understood. I would argue that makes Spanish cooler than Norwegian but I don’t want to get obnoxiously patriotic, that’s not how I roll. Ok, that’s a bit how I roll, at least when surrounded by americans, brits and europeans…*g*

Back to topic, you can never actually be sure that you won’t be understood. I’m now trying to learn basque and I was just reminded of how I’ve heard basque people talk in basque in London. But that’s not the freaky anecdote. I once was told about some people talking in basque and an asian guy besides them began to talk to them in basque as well. And he wasn’t Asian-Basque. He was Asian-Asian. He was just a language geek.

Considering I’m basque yet I’m only learning basque because I have to, I feel ashamed of myself but that’s another rambling.

In any case, yay for weird languages. 😉

Hope you all know my jabs at other countries are just meant in good fun. Also, this is me being a bit wild/bratty/naughty. If it’s too much, just say so and will tune it down. 🙂

            • disneydyke says:

              beside, not besides.

              • SC says:

but it’s cool to be able to speak several languages 😀

I was in Prague with my boyfriend once, and even though I told him that there may be other tourists near us who understand what we say as he thinks it was really fun to talk freely. he defied my warning, and asked me out loud when we looked at some old whips in a museum “I wonder if there are more people here like you who like to get spanked.” the next minute we heard the couple who stood right beside us speak Norwegian. I could have kicked his ass right there and then.
It’s kind of fun to think back at now, but it was certainly not fun when it happened!!! B)

          • SC says:

Yay! *high five* but if we write in an accent google translate wont be able to translate 😉 *high five*

          • Thanatos says:

I definitely agree on the joys of speaking a language most can’t Ash! Though I don’t speak Norwegian, just Dutch 😉

            • Ash says:

Awesome! Ik hou van nederlandse mensen. (if that was wrong… blame google translate)

            • Alyx says:

Dutch is awesome too. I know no Norwegian, but learned “Ik hou van jou” in Dutch. Oh, and a couple of swear words. 😀

              • Ash says:

Swear words? I love learning new swear words! Teach me some Dutch ones, Alyx. 😀

                • Thanatos says:

I could teach you a few right now.. But I’m actually very curious which ones Alyx picked up. So, I’ll wait for her to answer first 😉

                • Ash says:

                  *waiting in anticipation*

                • Alyx says:

I’m sure Thanatos could teach you a lot of words which would get your mouth washed out like Bahama Girl’s used to be, Ash. 😆 And actually I don’t swear very often. But the couple that I learned were “kut” (which is women’s genitalia and the English equivalent is one of the words I really dislike to hear) and “klootzak” (which is ball-sack or scr*tum).

I found it interesting that Dutch swear words seemed to center more on sexual things, whereas American swear words are more about elimination and related body parts. What about Norwegian swear words?

                • Ash says:

Well we have some sexual swear words, but the most common are religious swear words. Like faen (dammed), helvete (hell) and satan etc. They are not the worsties since Norway is not religious anymore. We used to have a state religion, but since most are atheist or agnostic we got rid of it, but even if the people change the swear words stick around. 😉

Also… I personallly have a hard time using genetalia words… It’s not nice.
I have realized I swear a lot less than I used to, and I think it is about growing up. Norwegian teenagers swear A LOT, and sitting on the bus listening to them swear two-three times in one sentence mKe me roll my eyes and think… “honestly… don’t they know how stupid they sound.” But they don’t… I didn’t. I’m not gonna wave my finger and tell someone to watch their language, no one did that at me,and I now look back thinking I was an idiot. 😀

                • Thanatos says:

I don’t swear very often either actually, but when one lives in a country all her life.. Well, she picks up the swearwords. 😉
My favorite swear word (or two words actually) is, lulletje rozenwater, which litteraly translated is little dick rose water. The only reason it’s my favorite is because it sounds so utterly rediculous xD It means something like slimebal but then a bit worse. I don’t know an English word for it. I is hardly used anymore though.
Then we also have quite a few of religiious ones. For example godverdomme, which means god damn it and jesus, which often used as a sort of exlamation (but the English/American use that too right?)
And well, then there are indeed al the ones useing sexual things like, kut, lul (dick),hoer (whore), slet (slut).. Stuff like that. And the ones that are actually illnesses which I despise, so I wont put them in here.

That enough swear words for you Ash? 😉

                • Ash says:

Yes, thank you. 😉 I feel enriched with culture! 😀

                • Alyx says:

“Godverdomme,” I forgot about that one! (Er, I wasn’t swearing just then. *g*) My ex used to say that. Thanks to both of you….I feel enriched too. 😀

                • Ash says:

Sure you don’t need the soap, Alyx? Tsk tsk :p

                • Thanatos says:

Good xD I’m glad I could share the cultural wonders of the Netherlands with you ;p

Btw Ash, do they have the 6 month long night and day in Norway too? I’m going to Finland with my choir this winter and I’m really wondering how that is. Everybody is already saying things like, okay, when we get back the whole choir is going to be depressed. o.o

                • Ash says:

It really depends how far up north, Thantos. During the winter months it gets darker sooner and sooner, until the sun turns in December and it gets lighter and lighter. So during winter far up nor, it can be dark all day, whilst during summer it can be light all night. Right now we have few hours of darkness even where I live. I suspect than unless you visit the very north of Finland, you will get a little daylight. 😉 However I’m no expert!

        • SC says:

My name was supposed to be SC, not SH 😛

          • Alyx says:

I’m going back and change all the “SH’s” for you, so no one gets confused! (Though considering how bratty you and Ash will no doubt be, it would probably be useful to go “Shhhhh, SH!” *LOL*)

Oh, and that’s a funny story about your bf outing your kink! I would’ve died of embarrassment. 😀 )

      • Alyx says:

I think the percentage definitely goes against you, Ash. I’m willing to bet the LEVEL of naughtiness does too. *vbg*

(Though I AM impressed at your good behavior on my blog. Are you feeling okay? *teasing g*)

        • ashtale says:

“I feel fine… wait… where am I? Wha.. what is this bump doing on my head?” With the help of her bratty friends (who gave her head a good bang), Ash finally gets out of the trance the evil Toppy-Queen Shalyx (hehe) put her in. She feels dizzy, and this sudden need to brat. Who will be her first victim? “Must…. brat… it is the only way! The only cure!”

Ash thinks Alyx secretly wants her to be a little naughty on her blog. *smirk* *LOL* Admit it! 😀

          • ashtale says:

Btw… I only just realized that “a good bang” can sound dirty…hehe. But I meant to the head not… well..emh.. you know. 😳

Just to be clear… to me “a good bang” means a whack to the head with a frying pan or something… NOT sexual intercourse. 😀

          • Alyx says:

Nice try, Ash. But if the evil Toppy-Queen Shalyx sees you being naughty, she will no doubt turn you into Little Red Burning Bum, so if I were you I would think twice about listening to your bratty friends. 😐

  23. quietgirl says:

So, I was wondering, does anyone hear have any advice on how to approach the subject of domestic discipline with a new partner? I currently have no woman acting as my top, but from being in DD relationships in the past, I have realized that this is something that I need and benefit from. My last top understood what I needed perfectly, and was willing to provide playful spankings when the mood struck her, as well as disciplinary spankings when it became necessary, but we met through a website that catered to different kinks, and I have come to realize that more than one woman has asked about getting together, and I am not sure about their feelings on the subject.
I would truly love to find another woman I love even half as much as my previous top, and have just come to understand that it is to my benefit to have somebody who is can be kinky, and who will be the authority figure at times.
The kinky part seems to be surprisingly easy for a lot of the women I have met to talk about, be the concept of actual rules and discipline have been a trickier subject to navigate. Seriously, any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

    • disneydyke says:

Yes, the strictly kinky part would be much easier. Maybe it would be helpful to introduce discipline scenarios as role-playing and gradually try to make them more real? Maybe telling her an essential part of kink is not a purely sexual one but that you also get a kick out of being told to follow some rules? Maybe you could say spanking is a part of your kink but that there’s more to it while at the same time being patience with the second part of the ecuation.

It might help to show her alyx’s stories actually.

I am out as a kinkster with my bestie and very recently I opened up about my kink being more than just a kink. No problems whatsoever. She might not get it, but she is cool with it. Of course I’m not asking her to send me to bed with a warm butt so why shouldn’t she? But my point is even something with a disciplinary flavor doesn’t feel that weird to most folks.

Heck, I would say a top is a kinky version of a life coach. Lots of people get help to get stuff done one way or another, us kinky folks just get spanked in the process. This point was better made in one of Alyx’ stories. Here: https://alyxfic.wordpress.com/stories/lizzie-mcfizzy-learns-a-lesson/

You should read the entire storie if you haven’t, but here’s a quote:

“Is that what you think? If that were true then there would not be a huge industry in therapists, ‘life coaches,’ and personal assistants,” Roslyn pointed out quietly.

So you let your lady enjoy the spanking by itself and once you’ve kinkyfied them you introduce her to this idea: hey, would you like to be a life coach with a spanky twist?

No, really, I know it’s hard. I guess patience and communication is key.

      • Kayla says:

I really like the life coach with a spanky twist. That is a wonderful way to express it.

      • quietgirl says:

Thanks! I think you have given me a couple of great plans for introducing the concept of disciplinary spankings with a new partner that could hopefully be a new top as well. And I definitely like the description of a life coach with a spanky twist to sum things up! 🙂

        • disneydyke says:

Please, do know these ideas have not been tested. jajaj. I have yet to succesfully discuss spanking with a girlfriend. Mmmmm, actually there are some (very few) folks above kinkyfication, but most vanilla folks could use some kinky sprinkles. 🙂

You tell us how it goes. I’m considering wearing a t-shirt that says “likes to get spanked”. *g*.

(Oh, and Alyx, I think I might be Your Spanish Bratness. I think I do have a naughty side.)

    • Alyx says:

I think Her Spanish Bratness (no, no surprise you agree after all, Disneydyke! *g*) has made some excellent suggestions. Not everyone is into discipline for correction as erotic reasons, but by getting to know the people you’re dealing with (taking time to chat/correspond with them for awhile first), it should become clear what each person is after.

Some people feel it’s easier to find someone you’re compatible with in a vanilla way first, before introducing the subject of kink. Other people search on kinky sites for someone they hope will be compatible in other ways too. I can’t say which is more successful. For sure it’s easier to talk about kink when you know you both have that preference. On the other hand, it’s really important to find someone whom suits you in all the important ways besides the discipline aspect — that your basic values and personalities also work together. I was lucky — I was attracted to someone who turned out to be kinky. *g* But I think either way you need to be honest about your needs, be picky about your standards, be cautious about your interactions, and be yourself. 🙂

The whole “life coach” comparison cracks me up. Awhile back I was describing my relationship with my brat Fizzy to Loki Renard. And Loki immediately shot back, “So…basically you’re a kind of kinky life coach? 😉 ” I laughed but told her she was exactly right!

      • Fizzy says:

And a very good one, too. *hug*

Especially when you’re demonstrating naughty behavior that I should avoid. Quite effective. 😆

        • Alyx says:

I have no idea what you’re talking about! *glare* And no one else does either (and it better stay that way)!

          • Ana says:

Sure, Alyx, you have never been naughty. That explains why you didn’t just get a month’s worth of spankings that included a whopper of a caning. Glaring is also a supremely self-evidently non-naughty action.

            *nods solemnly

            • Alyx says:

I would say that I was unfairly spanked, but that would be too brat-like. Also not quite true. *bg* Though I have to say I still disagree with some parts of it! But I’m sure you know the futility of trying to argue with an English woman, eh Ana? 😉

      • disneydyke says:

Well, the surprise might be that I quite like the tittle. 🙂

And of course Loki would say that. It sounds very Loki indeed.

Also, I agree with Fizzy below me. Might like too much my title? (Kidding).

Fizzy, you are a brave brat. You have my respect as a girl who very recently found her naughtyness. (feel free to laugh at this).

  24. maryk88 says:

Soooo when’s the next cassie and nicky story?!! I hope soon! I love that couple they seem so loving and caring to one another, and the dicipline isn’t mean and sever like on some stories I’ve read, thats why I usually son’t read stories like these, there arn’t a lot that show the love aspect like yours oh and the peaches website you 2 are the only ones I’ve found that I really like 🙂

    • SC says:

I wonder too. It’s not fair if we dont get another cassie- storie.. I miss cassie sooooo much. You made her up, dont let her die!!!!! :O

    • Alyx says:

I know that this couple is a favorite among fans, and I do have a story in mind for them. I actually have several stories in mind in almost all of the different categories on my story page — the problem is writing them!

I have started a few stories, but as I mentioned have been entertaining guests for several weeks. In addition, I have started an online programming course, which will take some time. But I am working on stories when I can. I do appreciate everyone’s patience.

  25. Amy says:

MaryK88, what is “the peaches website” That you refered to?

Alyx, it is exciting that you have stories in mind. I will be sending you good vibes so that you don’t get writer’s block.

  26. Amy says:

What does *g* mean? and what does *L* mean?

    • Alyx says:

Those stand for expressions, Amy, like smilies. The “g” is for “grin” (bg for “big grin,” vbg for “very big grin,” etc.) and I’m assuming the “L” is for “laugh.” Usually I see “LOL” which is “laugh/laughing out loud.”

  27. Kayla says:

“L” stands for licking………… Just kidding. I use it for laughing. It beats Teehehehe which makes me sound like a naughty little thing. *bg*

  28. Amy says:

    Hey Alyx.
I once heard a statistic saying that about 10% of the population is gay and that about 5% of the population are lesbians.
I don’t know if those statistics are true. What I’m wondering is what percent of lesbians do you think are into spanking?

Of course, you probably don’t know the exact answer, but I imagine you have been into the scene for longer than I have, so if you had to estimate, what would be your answer?

      • Kayla says:

        “2005
The American Community Survey from the U.S. Census estimated 776,943 same-sex couples in the country as a whole, representing about 0.5% of the population.”

“The 2000 U.S. Census Bureau found that homosexual couples constitute less than 1% of American households. The Family Research Report says “around 2-3% of men, and 2% of women, are homosexual or bisexual.” The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force estimates three to eight percent of both sexes.

While most expert estimates place America’s homosexual population at 10% or less, Americans tend to guess that the number is higher, around 20%.”
        —–by Jennifer Robison, Contributing Editor

So basically I think it would be a small amount being both lesbian and spanky. Then again according to the report Americans think things are much more than they are so we can think that it’s around 5% to give us all hope. *L*

        • Ash says:

Nice answer, Kayla. I personally think that most people in the world are a little bisexual at least. I also think that there are a lot more gays out there, then we know of. It took me 21 years to open my eyes to the wonderful world of lesbians. 😉 But I now see that I was a big lesbo even as a kid. *LOL*

          • Kayla says:

I was an unknowing queer child. Growing up in the Midwest, it wasn’t really talked about. Basically a bunch of feelings and no understanding of what it was except that it was different then the “norm”. Looking back on it now it makes me laugh because I was SO confused. I too think that the percentages are off. Most of those statistics are based on such a small percentages of people completing the surveys and during a time when most did not come out.

            • Ash says:

It is a heterosexual world baby! Of course it is confusing. I was never told about homosexuality by my parents, so it took sometime to understand what it was too. I’m just really lucky that I grew up in a country where most are accepting and we can get married and stuff. I am paying attention to what is happening in Gay America, and I gotta say… I don’t like it.

              • Kayla says:

I learned about homosexuality from the Donahue Show (It’s a talk show). Needless to say I freaked and tried to play it straight. *L* Only lasted a few years, thank goodness. I still can’t believe Cali hasn’t legalized gay marrage for more than a blink of an eye. At least other states are paving the way.

            • Amy says:

I’m sorry that the midwest left you with that feeling Kayla :(. I grew up in the midwest and I have had pretty good experiences with the gay community. I think it might be because we grew up in different eras, or different areas of the midwest.

I grew up with conservative influences and liberal influences, so I have seen the openness of the gay community in the midwest and I have seen the close-mindedness that exists in the region.

I do agree that the people who make up the statistics are probably much fewer than the many who are actually gay. I have friends who are conservative christians and I often wonder how many of them are gay. It is a disheartening thought because I know they will probably deny themselves.

              • Kayla says:

A Midwestener huh. *g* Where did you grow up? Most of my life was in a small little town in KS with a 1,800 population. There was one supposedly gay man in the whole town. So basically there was no gay community.

    • Alyx says:

That’s a good question, Amy, and one that’s come up before. Loki once said that she thought it was a very tiny percentage, based on her F/F kink sales. I think Kayla’s estimate of half a percent is certainly possible, but it’s hard to say because no one’s ever done a study on that!

I think, like Ash said, that sexual orientation is on a continuum — a whole range of preferences from 100% heterosexual to 100% homosexual, with most people somewhere in between. Likewise, I think there is a continuum of kink, so it would range from heavy BDSMers to those that think a playful swat during sex is as far as they want to go. With all the different variations around, even if there were hundreds of thousands of us, it would still be tricky to find someone who matches you perfectly.

And yet we do manage to hook up with those that suit us. I think the most important thing is to be open to the universe bringing you your heart’s desire. So there’s your fluffy answer to a statistical question, I’m afraid. 😀

  29. Amy says:

I don’t feel comfortable saying where I live, but I will say that I live in a city of more than 500,000. In the fall when I go to college, I will be staying in the midwest, but I will be going to a town of only 60,000. I am nervous about the lack of population.
I love driving on the freeway and for some reason, I love driving in city traffic. It will be hard to say goodbye :(.
The good news is that my college has a great lgbt program.

If you read the Onion’s Altas, it gives a description of each state (a very satirical description of each state. I enjoyed Kansas’s. It was very funny :).

  30. Amy says:

Alyx! I’m so thankful to see that you have found time to be on your blog. You seem to have been so busy lately! It must be nice to just take some time to chilax on your blog.

    • Alyx says:

I have been EXTREMELY busy lately. 😦 And so I’ve been really tardy about replying to comments, which I usually am conscientious about. Forgive me, everyone. But it’s likely to go on for awhile. In fact, I may have to take a small break in the near future. But I will be trying to work on stories more diligently, even if I am not posting on the blog.

      • Mil says:

That’s a great idea! I think we’d all love you to channel your energies into stories, Alyx. Blogs need holidays too.. it can go sit at the beach for a bit 😉

        • Alyx says:

Hey, that’s a nice thought. *smiling* I could post a gorgeous beach pic and disable all comments till I come back. But first I’d better get more done on ONE of the stories I’m working on. I’d hate to come back and have nothing to show for it. *g* In the meantime, I will just lay low for a bit.

  31. cras says:

    Hey Alyx!

It’s been over a year since the last time I posted anything here and since I do owe you an email, I thought I’d procra…..um, send you a nice, supportive message here…and ask when you’re going to do another story. *dodges out of swatting range* Kidding. Kidding! I know you’re busy.

I do like the occasional blog updates though. It lets me know you’re still alive. 😉

    ~cras

    • Alyx says:

Cras, you brat! *swat!* Has it really been over a year?? That tells me someone is keeping a very good eye (palm? hairbrush? cane?) on you, and let me just say I approve heartily. *vbg* Thanks for stopping by…it’s good to know you’re still alive too. 😉

      • cras says:

Over a year since I posted in “Bug Alyx Here”. I have posted bits and pieces on the main page periodically. But it’s definitely been over a year since I officially bugged you. *Grins*

And are you implying that I can’t behave unless someone else is insisting on it? Because if you are…that’s probably true. Though I have been known to make it seconds and sometimes whole minutes while behaving without any sort of outside insistence. 😉

        • Alyx says:

Well, I am always happy to see you, Cras. And yes, I know you can achieve minutes of good behavior at times. However I’m sure it’s a strain and I wouldn’t want you to hurt anything! (Oh wait, that’s not precisely true. 😀 )

  32. Amy says:

Hi Alyx. I am currently living in a residence hall attached to another residence hall. In total they hold 1,200 people. That’s more than a lot of colleges! I really like the anonymity of it.
I have been on the story page a lot of times. I have never seen a story added. I am kind of excited to see what it will be like when a story is added. It will be like a whole new world of stories!

    • Alyx says:

*LOL!* “You have never seen a story added”?? You’re lucky I’m assuming you’re being artless and not bratty, young lady. 🙂

Yes, I hope one day you’ll see a new story added. Kinda like Haley’s Comet….it’s bound to happen at least ONCE in your young lifetime. 😉

(Sounds like you’ll meet a lot of new people, Amy. That’s great!)

    • Fizzy says:

My memories of it are faint, as I was much younger then, but the last time a story went up, it was magical. There were fireworks and cheers. This was back in the days before Siri for the iPhone, when Amy Winehouse and Qaddafi were still alive, when 50 Shades of Grey was still a bad Twilight fanfic. *sighing* oh, the good old days when Alyx wrote stories.

      • Alyx says:

Your memories of a lot of things are obviously faint, young lady! Allow me to “refresh” them for you! *grabs Fizzy by the ear and escorts her to the sofa* *unbuttons jeans and pulls them unceremoniously down to her knees* *sits down and yanks the naughty brat over my knee* *laying on smacks with every other word*

Siri?! Amy Winehouse and Qaddafi?! I’ll give you 50 Shades of Red right now, you little brat! *decides this is not getting through and pulls her panties down to join her jeans*

I hope you had fun coming up with that little paragraph, because you’re not going to sit for a week!” *stinging swats concentrated on her sit spot now, back and forth with unrelenting impact* *growling* I’ll give you fireworks and cheers! *SWAT!* *SWAT!*

        • Fizzy says:

Oww! *howling and laughing at “50 Shades of Red”* I’m sorry! well, not really, because it was funny, at least I thought it was funny, but I’m sorry you didn’t! *grumbling about energy being expended on spanking when it should be expended on writing* *and doing one’s final exam*

  33. Amy says:

Are you really busy with exams etc? I sent you an email and I’m wondering if you saw it.

    • Alyx says:

      Hi Amy,
Yes, I’m going crazy at work and busy with my class, but I did get your email. I will reply soon. (I figured since you took a few weeks to answer mine, I had some leeway! 🙂 ) I apologize, but my correspondence is very delayed at the moment.

  34. Kayla says:

I leave for a little bit and come back to all sorts of fun chaos both here and on Previous Quotes. The brats are giving you a workout for sure. I do have to say that Fizzy and your conversation was the highlight. I don’t think it’s fair to swat her for letting Amy know about when you last wrote. I think she was just trying to help free up some of your time by fielding some of your fan mail. She is so very thoughtful like that. Timelines are very helpful you know; so Amy doesn’t think your last story was written back when Edison discovered electricity. *bg*

P.S. 50 Shades of Red, HILARIOUS

    • Alyx says:

I’m sure Fizzy will appreciate your attempt at defending her mischief, Kayla. You obviously have a well-developed brat penchant for provoking remarks yourself. *raised brow* Care to visit us on the Previous Quotes thread? I’m sure we can find a chair for you!

      • disneydyke says:

Well, creative and fun mischief should be appreciated, Kayla is just showing her appreciation, but she should definately come over and have some fun: you should try and get caned, Kayla. It just tickles, honestly. (Kidding).
I too loved that exchange between Fizzy and you. 🙂

      • Kayla says:

No Ma’am I’m good, thank you. I’ve been a human pin cushion for the last month and to top it off my sadistic doctor says I can’t sleep on my stomach. I’m living a brats worse nightmare. *L* So you barely tapping my derriere with that rattan will cause quite a squeal and what fun would that be? Besides I’m a giving person I would like to give my swats to DD, seeing that she seems to be enjoying it so much. I hope your arm doesn’t give out. *bg* Oh and thank you for teaching me a new word: penchant. o_O

        • disneydyke says:

Hey, Miss K., it sucks not being able to sleep whatever way one prefers, I hope you are able to sleep however your butt desires really soon. In the meantime, I hope you are getting enough sleep at least.
And hey, I might end up disliking swats. Everything in moderation! Everything in moderation!

        • Alyx says:

I’m sorry to hear you’ve been experiencing such un-fun pain, Kayla. I hope things improve soon! *hug*

(I’m sure DD would probably enjoy taking everyone’s swats. 😀 But like she says, better everything in moderation.)

  35. Amy says:

Ha ha :). Because for awhile, I thought that the last story might have been written when Edison created the light bulb.

Kayla! We are midwest buddies! Woot Woot! Midwest!

    • Ash says:

*LoL* It might be dangerous to assume that Alyx was alive back then. *giggle* High five! 😀

Oh and Alyx…. I’m waiting for a fairy tale with some spanking in it. Will there be one soon? Or do I have to wait until I’m 30?!! 😛

      • Kayla says:

Hey brattastic I was not insinuating that Aylx was old just that her creative inspiration can’t be rushed……….apparently…….at all……ever…..even with prompting…………for a year. BUT we can all appreciate that even though the stories are all in the works, (you know the “dog ate my homework excuse”) she has been ever so kind to keep us all entertained with her quick wit and strong hand. So even though Moses crossed the desert faster no one can deny that the trip has been made all the more fun by her wonderful blog. Thank you Alyx for taking the time out of your real life busy schedule to deal with all the nonsense on here. 

        • Alyx says:

*considering your “human pin cushion” experience* * considering your wisearse remarks* *deciding that virtual spanking won’t hurt that provoking rear end*

          *SWAT! SWAT! SWAT!*

          You’re welcome, Kayla. 😀

          • Kayla says:

Ahhhhhhh *dances what looks like the Irish Jig around the room* So very very mean and I gave you so much Kudos too *pouts and gentle rubs my bum* I can’t help my wisearseness it’s in my genes. Well that and my English teacher told me I needed to work on my imagrey. *L*

    • Alyx says:

Don’t you follow Fizzy’s example, Amy! Unless you want to end up END UP as often as she does!

And Ash? At the rate you’re going you’ll be lucky to see 30!

      *swatting both of you*

    • Kayla says:

      Go Midwest Go!

  36. Hmm, since Alyx is handing out smacks, I’d best cover my bottom. 😉

    • disneydyke says:

Allow me to impersonate a top:
You have nothing to fear if you are a good girl, young lady!

      • Alyx says:

Hmm….been practicing switching to the dark side, have we? 😉

        • disneydyke says:

“Well, versatility and flexibity are important virtues nowadays, are they not? One should always be prepared to switch to the dark side. Although I prefer to call it ‘evolving’ myself.”

DD spoke those words with seriousness and certainty. Then she sipped her tea lifting her pinky, her left hand holding a cane that she gently tapped against the floor.

Am I fooling anyone yet? 😉

          • disneydyke says:

Ok, just in case anyone believes I switched to the dark side and then I have to deal with nutty naughty gals like… like… well, like myself…

            I will stay a well-behaved not-brat. 😉

          • Alyx says:

I don’t know about anyone else, but you were not fooling me, DD. 😀

That’s right, just stay yourself. (“Well-behaved” and “not-brat” are open to interpretation, methinks. *g*)

  37. dd, that’s true, but the Tops decide who’s been good or not, and Alyx seems to be in a smacking mood.

    • Alyx says:

Both of you are quite right, Lynne — you have no need to fear as long as you are good.
AND tops do get to decide who’s been good or not! 🙂

  38. Jazz says:

Hi Alyx I have been lurking here for a while I actually discovered SK through this blog. Anyway I figured it was about time I delurked. I love your stories! Now I realise that you created this section for the specific purpose of having people bug you so apologies for my comment’s lack of annoyingness. I shall endeavour to make slightly more appropriate comments in the future. *g*

    • Alyx says:

Hey Jazz, welcome! Good to hear you’re another one who found SK through my blog. 🙂

No need to apologize for an un-annoying comment, though I’m sure you’ll fit right in with the other brats and start bugging me in earnest eventually. 😉 Thanks for letting me know you like my stories….we writers love to hear that.

  39. micah says:

    Hey Alyx….
I just wanted to say ‘Thank you’ for the wonderful stories you have written for us. Each one of them has been great because of the warmth of the characters and the feelings you express for the readers to share. I can go back and read them again and still get the warm fuzzy feeling I got the first time around.
Our group of readers aren’t exactly mainstream so it’s difficult to find good fiction available. Thank goodness you have been here for us.
My brain wants to tell you more but my language skills are getting in the way…just…..THANK YOU.

    • Alyx says:

Micah! Long time no see! *cuddle* How have you been, rascal? Thank you for that very sweet post, hon. i know it’s been a long time, but I’ve finally penned another (very tiny *g*) story, which I just got back from the beta-reader and must make some changes on. But hopefully….soon! Take care, and thank YOU for letting me know you enjoy my stories. 🙂

  40. Mil says:

Did I just read that right? There is a story ready? Excitement!! (Do you mean “very tiny grin” or “very tiny story”?)

    • Alyx says:

Sorry to be misleading. *g* Very tiny grin would’ve been *very tiny g*, so I’m afraid I mean a very tiny story. In fact, it’s more a tiny chapter than a story. But at least I finished something, and I will start the next story as soon as I can. 🙂

Oh, and it’s not ready yet. Beta reader made some (very good) suggestions, so I’m going to work on it more tonight.

  41. kiaigrrl says:

Yay! I am so excited for your new story Alyx! I’m on bed rest for the next week or so and reading your stories is one of the things that keeps me from going loony. 😉

    • Alyx says:

Sorry to hear you’re stuck in bed, Kiaigrrl! But I’m afraid the boss said it’s missing a few things, so it’s back to the drawing board for me. However it’ll be up soon.

(Are you sure you’ve succeeded in avoiding loony-ness? *teasing g*) 😉

  42. Ella says:

Hi Alyx! I’ve been a lurker for a while and I just wanted to let you know how awesome your blog is *smile*

  43. Naughtyney says:

    Hello Alyx.

I mentioned to you a little while back that my girlfriend and I are swiches.

I have a couple of questions regarding Topping her. Is there an email address that i may write to you at instead of this blog.

I love your blog but there are some things that I would like to keep discrete.

Thank you. BTW: Thank you for sharing yours and TMT’s visit. Also, great job on your exam.

    Naughtyney

    Naughtyney@gmail.com

    • Alyx says:

Hi Naughtyney, my email address is in the “About” section, and a link to my name on any page. It’s Alyx.fic@gmail.com. I do remember you saying you both switch, and I hope things are still going well! 🙂 Thanks for your good wishes.

      Best,
      Alyx

  44. Amy says:

    Alyx! Hi :D.
Have you listened to Death Cab for Cutie yet?
    It’s really a great band.
I am really excited for when you write the next Nicki and Cassie story.

    • Alyx says:

Hi Amy, I’ve listened to the free tunes available online, and I can see why you like the band. 🙂

I started my next online course, but am working on the Cassie/Nicky story….sloooowly. *g* So have maintain your patience, okay?

  45. Amy says:

Okay. I will maintain my patience.
I can’t wait to get a reply from the email that I just sent you… just saying.
I read turnabout for the second time yesterday. I really liked it :).

    • Alyx says:

Glad you liked the story, Amy. 🙂 (Your email will have to wait a few days, I’m afraid. I’m working overtime hours at the moment trying to fix something my supervisor messed up! But I will answer when I can, I promise.)

  46. Ash says:

*poke* Alyx… when will my favorite spanko writer post another story? 😀
I don’t mean to nag… I am just really really looking forward to it. (>‿◠)✌

Will it help if I told you it’s my birthday soonish? *couch*

    • Ash says:

I meant * cough* as in… my birthday is in February… *giggle* But don’t tell Alyx I said that. 😉

      • Jazz says:

Alyx I would never want to pester you however in the interest of Ash having a great birthday…

      • Alyx says:

I am totally in favor of Ash having a great birthday too, Jazz. I think we should have a big party where we all take turns giving her a birthday spanking! What do you guys think? 😀

February is “soonish”?? I can see you use the same calendar as Fizzy! *rolls eyes* However I am working on a story which I hope to post for Xmas. How’s that? 🙂

        • Jazz says:

Spanking Ash sounds like fun! I am most definitely in favour of that idea. *eg*

          • Ash says:

Well… I’ve never had a birthday spanking (or any spanking lol)… aren’t they supposed to be super fun. Besides… it would only be 23 swats! How painful of a spanking can that be? *LOL* I’m glad I’m not going to turn a hundred! 😀

A story for Christmas sounds great, Alyx! Only… that is like a hundred years away.(╥﹏╥) I guess we’ll all just have to suck it up.

            • Jazz says:

I think the number of swats would probably depend on how many people chose to participate. SK currently has 34 members so if we were to do it there, that would be a potential 33 people spanking you. 23 x 33 = 759 *g*

            • Alyx says:

Ash, you have certainly been getting creative with your smilies lately! I have to laugh when I see all those faces you create. 😀

As for birthday spankings, they can be lots of fun. However I think Jazz is right that 759 whacks might be a little too much…..even for one as naughty as you. *g*

  47. Amy says:

    Poor Ash… 😦

  48. Amy says:

By the way, my photo is so depressing. The poor green little monster looks so sad 😦

  49. Amy says:

Ash, I think it’s funny that you struggle with english sometimes but you still know how to say no me gusta. I guess it shows that spanglish is really becoming a language.

  50. SP says:

Yay, a new story for Xmas! That’s great news Alyx. Look forward to the treat – can’t wait actually but I’ll try to be patient, heehee.

  51. Amy says:

Creo que necesitamos hablar en español en el blog de Alex en el futaro!

  52. Amy says:

I’m sorry, Alyx :(. *Protects her bottom* I didn’t realize it was rude.

    • Alyx says:

I’m teasing you, Amy. Though it generally is considered rude to speak in a language not understood by everyone there, I don’t care if you guys want to converse in Spanish. As long as someone translates for the rest of us. 😀

      • jazz1994 says:

Je ne parle pas espagnol mais si quelqu’un se sent comme parler en français, je serais heureuse d’obliger. *grin* (apologies for any grammatical errors my French isn’t brilliant).

        • Jazz says:

If anyone is wondering why I changed my name and linked an unviewable blog it wasn’t intentional I just happened to be logged into my wordpress account when I made the comment. The reason why the blog is unviewable (at least I hope it’s unviewable) is that there isn’t anything on it.

        • Alyx says:

I don’t speak French either, but luckily the language of spanking transcends all languages! *eg*

  53. Amy says:

Imagine if I were a young Peruvian woman discovering your blog and I spoke no words of English!

    • disneydyke says:

Reading naughty blogs is a strong motivator for learning a language. My English only got better because I’m a kinky gay lady. Our young peruvian friend will soon learn or else… miss all the fun.

Although one day I shall conquer the world and you shall all speak Spanish. But until then I shall just laugh… with an evil laugh. Mwajajaja (that’s an evil laugh with a spanish accent).

I shall play nice among yanks and brits and canadians and antipodeans and whatnot… But one day… Oh yes, one day you shall all be singing this song:

Hi Alyx! No need to worry, I have yet to recruit and I have no idea how to do that. 😉

      • disneydyke says:

Oi, I hate it when youtube restricts songs to only some countries. Not cool, youtube! Not cool!

        • disneydyke says:

Ah no, not the case… Anyway, just joking, it’s half-hearted patriotism. Mock-patriotism. Although I like that song.

          • disneydyke says:

And hey, I just couldn’t hold my tongue, my fingers are just too quick to type and I really had to butt in (sorry) as the evil spaniard. 😉

    • Alyx says:

Disneydyke is right, Amy. If you were a young Peruvian woman you’d probably: 1) Be thrilled to find out there are other kinky people like you, and 2) probably decide that obviously the Spanish speaking types must be the naughtiest of all. *LOL*

      • SP says:

        LOL @ 2)
Well *ahem* Alyx, you know I don’t *really* speak Spanish, right? 😉

      • Amy says:

Disneydyke, I loved your post :). I thought it was funny when you laughed with a spanish accent. I have a friend who speaks with a spanish accent and whenever we laugh on Facebook we always say, “Ja ja ja ja ja.” Also, I bet kinky blogs were a great motivator for learning English :).

  54. Amy says:

By the way, I am in a really good mood tonight. I am in a show and the people in the show and I wrote this awesome, super catchy song for the show. I would post it here, but it isn’t copy righted yet, and I don’t feel comfortable posting it on the internet. So I am going to email it to you!

    • Alyx says:

Thanks for the song, Amy, and you’re right — it’s extremely catchy. That’s great you’re in a show and contributed to its creation! Obviously a lot of talented spankos out there. 🙂

  55. Amy says:

How do lesbians find one another? Sometimes it feels like it is impossible.

    • disneydyke says:

Well, once you find one you never let her go. That’s why lesbians stay friends with their exes, and their exes’ exes…
Now serious answer. Have you tried LGTB groups? It’s the first option that comes to my mind. It is not impossible. Perhaps there are still many lesbians closeted and that makes it harder and sometimes there are many more gay bars (as in gay guys) than lezzy bars… But it’s not impossible. LGTB groups… Oh, feminist groups too. And don’t you have Womyn’s music festivals over the States? And what about wicca groups? Okay, sorry, my knowledge comes from movies and series.
I have met lesbians through the first method myself of one lesbians leads to another and you keep them all cuz there are not a lot. I opened a blog when I was 15 and I met most of my friends through there, all gay ladies.
Maybe you could visit autostraddle, I once read they hold meetings in several cities and in any case it’s a very cool website. Afterellen has a message board section and maybe there are people interested in real life meetings?
I would say your best option is going to a LGTB group. If you are in college, don’t college have those groups?
Good luck in your quest for lesbians, Amy! You shall be lucky! 🙂

    • Alyx says:

I second Disneydyke’s suggestion of campus groups and/or the local GLBT community center. I know it seems impossible at the beginning (I remember asking a bunch of lesbians at a support group when I was first coming out, “How do you recognize other lesbians? I can’t seem to spot them.” And they all looked at me incredulously. *LOL*

Nowadays, I have NO trouble spotting them (except for the very femme ones…they can fool you *g*). After you’ve hung out with the community awhile, your “gaydar” really IS gaydar — it alerts invisibly but surely when you meet up with “family.”

Hang in there, Amy. There will be parties and softball games and bar-hopping (not that I’m in favor of that so much) and meeting friends of friends. Plus there will be the unexpected things. I was buying lesbian pulp novels in a bookstore one day, and when I went to pay for them, one of the women behind the counter pushed the other out of the way and said, “I’LL take this one.” She was a sister, you see, and was glad to find someone who was openly gay. (Or at least liking to buy gay books. *g*)

Nowadays people don’t shop in bookstores so much, but you get what I mean. Just be open to it, and it’ll happen. 🙂

      • Mil says:

        This is really great advice.

Alyx, I have a very random question.. do remember ever hearing the term “gaydar” before 1997? Has it been around forever?

        • Ash says:

Did something special happen in 1997?

        • Alyx says:

According to Merriam Webster it was first used in 1982, but that still seems recent to me. *g* I think I hadn’t heard it till the 90s myself, but I can’t remember exactly. I’ve slept since then! *LOL*

          • Ash says:

Oh yeah… I remember that. That was a good year. (¬‿¬)

            • Alyx says:

Was that the year you were born, baby? 🙂

              • Ash says:

Well… the joke was that 1982 was a good year. Was Ash born that year? No. *giggle* However in February 1990, God decided to give mankind a special treat, and that would be me. (≧◡≦)

Did you just call me a baby, or was it a nickname? *LOL*

                • Alyx says:

Argh, my math skills are terrible! 😛 I had subtracted 1982 from 2012 and thought it was 20, which is why I asked that! I know you’re not that old! *rolls eyes* Sorry, Ash.

*g* I was calling you a baby, Babe. (Now Babe was a nickname. 😉 )

                • Ash says:

No, not that old! I’m a 22 year-old baby! *LOL*

*giggle* Ahhh so many cheeky comment comes to my mind… 😛 Better keep them in, yah?

                • Amy says:

God gave mankind, Amy, in 1994.

                • Alyx says:

Yes, you’re just a youngster, Ash. And you’re a real baby, Amy. And you’re both naughty. Definitely better keep those cheeky comments inside….if you value being able to sit! *raised brow*

          • Mil says:

Oh.. okay. Then I should probably stop telling people I coined the term when I was a baby queer, right before the 1997 Sydney Mardi Gra where it went viral 😉 *lol*

  56. Amy says:

Hi Alyx. How is life for you right now? I am feeling a little sad today. I think part of it is the fact that it is raining by me today… and I am not wearing good enough shoes, so my feet are wet and cold. The good news, though is that I am going to go back to my dorm and get things done. I think that that will make me feel a little bit more under control and it will put me in a better mood :).
There is a lot of spanking stuff on the internet. Some of it is really good and other stuff is trashy and not very good. How does a person go about finding the well written and good stuff?

    • Alyx says:

I’m sorry you were wet and cold, sweetie. But I usually like the sound of rain (as long as I’m dry, of course) — I find it soothing.

I don’t know how other people find the good kink on the Net, but I find it by looking through as much stuff as I can, and yes, lots of it is not-so-good. Once I find an author I like, I try to read all of her/his stuff. Listen — (one of those “you kids don’t know how good you have it” lecture coming on) at least you can find stuff to read easily. Lorrrd, I remember spending HOURS hidden in the library reading kinky material because I didn’t have the guts to check it out! It was hard enough (at first) checking out or buying the lesbian stuff!

Nowadays it’s no big deal, but back then things were different. And *I* was different too. It’s so nice to be open about my preference for women….not sure I’ll ever be that open about my kink. Which is why the internet is such a valuable thing. *hugging my computer* 😀

  57. Amy says:

I just started listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They’re REALLY good. I want to see them live.

  58. sandy says:

The sun just entered Scorpio in the last couple of days….so how many spanks/candles is it this year Alyx?

    • Alyx says:

Shhhhh! *looks around* Luckily TMT rarely frequents this blog. *g*

Way more candles than I want to admit to, Sandy. And you’re a right trouble-maker, you are. Obviously it’s been too long since you’ve had a proper “seeing to”! I’ll be remembering that come July. *narrow-eyed look*

    • Alyx says:

Aw, you guys are sweet. *hug* 🙂 To be strictly (and we all know I like to be strict *g*) accurate, it isn’t my birthday yet. Sandy said that because she knows I’m a Scorpio and the astrology sign of Scorpio started a few days ago (Oct. 23, I think). However the important thing is that it IS my time of year. I’ve always liked this time of year — kind of reflective and intense and between worlds. And even though we don’t have a real autumn in Hawaii (not like places in the world that have a real winter and colors change, etc.), I feel the autumn in the air and my mind is full of fall colors.

So THANK YOU for your good wishes, kittens. You guys mean a lot to me and I do treasure each and every one of you. I am still working on my story and shall try to put up a blog post soon. I hope all of you are keeping warm and enjoying the last days before winter. Or, in the southern hemisphere, that you’re enjoying your spring! 🙂

      • Ash says:

I wanted autumn to last longer (it is my favorite season… the air is so fresh)… now I have snow. Not that I don’t like snow, but scraping ice from cars is a pain in the butt! 😦
Can’t wait until I am going to London in December for Christmas shopping. Snow or even just winter and no snow is a lot more glamorous there. 😀 Well except for the risk of not getting home for Christmas because of train and airport delays.

Sooo…. Alyx’s birthday is soon, huh? Does this mean we all get to give you birthday spanks! 😛 A very odd American tradition. *LOL*

        • Alyx says:

It is a very odd American tradition, and NO, you don’t get to give me birthday spanks! *glare* Good thing TMT is British. *g*

Hey, lucky you, going to London! Wish I was going there for Xmas…. 🙂

          • Ash says:

I was only teasing. 😛 *giggle* Hey… maybe your local brats will let you do the birthday spanking ON them. *sends Alyx a stingy paddle for her birthday* They better hope you don’t turn a hundred! Mohahahaw (but then you probably would’t be able to spank very hard anyway… so I’m guessing not lol).

About London…Yeah… it was a very spontaneous thing. We (me and a friend) wanted to go, and then suddenly he saw that there were only 4 cheap tickets to London when we were done with school before Christmas and so we just decided in like five minutes that we were doing it. 😀
My favorite gay bookshop is there… well it is the only gay bookshop I know. *LOL* And I’m going to Hamleys. It’s a five story toyshop! Who wouldn’t go there?!

            • pippin says:

Hey! Local brats?! That would be me! Ash! And a ‘stingy’ paddle, huh?! You remember my metal ruler, right? Wait til your next visit to SKF, little brat. *eg*

P.S. Perhaps, I should acquiesce to Alyx’s bday spanking since she has every right and many good reasons to spank me. 😦

              • Ash says:

New kinklet! Mission: Hiding pippin’s ruler!!! *giggle*

Awww… cheer up, love! (wow I am in a British mood already. I am sure Alyx would love you to assist her in her birthday (give a brat a) spanking. 😀

                • pippin says:

I am the Mastermind, Ash the Magnificent. My ruler obeys only me. *think King Arthur’s sword* 😛 Looking forward to a kinklet, any kinklet, so I can swat your behind! *muahahaha*

*wondering how your British accent sounds given your Norwegian one* Have a lovely holiday. 🙂

                • Ash says:

Well… I have a fluent (slightly posh) accent, pippin. 😀 Took my seminar groups months to figure out I wasn’t a native, and they only did because we were studying Ibsen.
But with Panda I speak American. 😛

              • Alyx says:

Oh hey, if pippin is volunteering to take all my birthday spankings, AND the ones from me too, who am I do argue?? 😀 *LOL*

Have fun in London. And tell us all about your adventures later. 🙂

                • pippin says:

I wasn’t joking you know. You have always been so very good to me, and I’ve been such a shit. I deserve everything you dole out. I’m only glad that you’re not 100!

Btw, you spelled ‘do’ incorrectly. Sounds cute though when you say it out loud. 😛

                • Alyx says:

Rats, I shoulda proofread. I could edit it, but then no one will know what you were referring to. I’ll just leave it….it’ll help brats accept the fact that tops are not perfect. 😀

(And you’re not as glad as I am that I’m not 100! *g*)

          • Yes, because we English women don’t have any spanking traditions of our own. *g*

No wait – we do! Fortunately, all the reasons, that I as an English Top, can think of to put a certain American over my knee (or indeed any suitable piece of furniture) do transfer seemlessy from my British palm directly into an American experience of a hot and rosy bottom! 😉

            • Peach says:

Hey TMT! When does the party begin?? You gotta let me know ’cause I do not wanna miss it. *texting all the other brats…* heeheehee

              • Ash says:

*giggle* I’m with you, Peach. Cannot miss this. 😀

                • Ah well, since this is all about Alyx’s pleasure and not yours Ms Peach and Ms Ash and since I know she is very reserved about such things, I shan’t tell you. However, I would be a little worried, if I were you, at hanging your behinds out there for a whupping in such a provocative manner… she is very quiet on her toes, you know, and has been known to ambush brats for much less. 😉

                • Ash says:

Oh yeah… *remembering past blog events*
Gotta watch out for an ambush, Peach. 😀

                • Raine says:

This party is aught to be awesome~

                • Peach says:

Hey we got tres chicas now! Power in #s right? She can’t ambush us. 😉 ‘Sides it’s a happy occasion. *bg*

                • Ash says:

Hmmm… better get extra protective pants on, just to be safe. 😉

                • Alyx says:

*stern look at Peach, Ash and Raine* Hmm….would any of you like to try out one of my new birthday presents…..a bath brush? *raised brow* *changing mind and using my palm instead* *SWAT! SWAT! SWAT!* If you really want a party I can give you one. But I don’t think you’ll like the favors I’ll be handing out!

                • Ash says:

*rubs bottom* What did I tell you guys?

*giggle* oh Alyx, Alyx, Alyx. Did you really get a bath brush for your birthday? Was it meant as a bath brush or spanking implement. I can just imagine a very ignorant family member giving it to you, and you getting totally different ideas. *LOL*

That is what happens when I walk through the kitchen part of a store. 😀

                • Amy says:

Are we referring to Alyx’s birthday party?

                • Amy says:

                  Ha ha :).
Ash, to refer to your “That is what happens when I walk through the kitchen part of stores” comment. I do the same thing.

                • Alyx says:

I really did get a bath brush as one of my gifts! And I got a hairbrush once too. 😀 The bath brush will be used for its intended purpose, but the hairbrush did get turned into a spanking implement. *eg*

                • Ash says:

So all the brats in here are safe from the evilness of the bath brush? Awesome! 😉
I’m sure your brat will… emh… have special feelings for the hairbrush… hehe. *hugs Fizzy*

                • Alyx says:

Yes, you’re all safe. Even Fizzy-brat. 😀 I would never want to bruise anyone’s bottom….the faster they recover, the sooner they can be spanked again. *eg*

            • Alyx says:

LOL! Okay, touche, my very traditional English Top! You certainly have no need of excuses nor strange customs to have me right where you want me. *shiver* *kiss*

  59. AngelPeach says:

    “innocent look”
    Party time?
    heehee

    • SP says:

Autumn leaves are very pretty right now where I live!

I brought a chocolate cake with frosting and hats and balloons, and a *cough* brush? Whatever is that for?! *bg*
Party time guys. Happy birthday Alyx!

      AP (angelpeach)

  60. sandy says:

Happy birthday when it comes ‘Auld Yin’!
Sorry Alyx, couldn’t resist that, I’m just completely gobsmacked by the fact you’ve had not one bit of cheek about your age…they must all be getting old!!

    • Alyx says:

No, Sandy, they are just respectful. (Almost didn’t recognize them! *LOL*) Something you could stand to emulate, young lady! *swat*

      • sandy says:

Oops…sorry Alyx, I honestly didn’t mean to be disrespectful. It’s more a term of endearment than anything else…the sort of thing you’d write on a friends birthday card(even if it is a wee bit cheeky)!
        S.

        • Alyx says:

I don’t find you disrespectful, Sandy. But cheeky, definitely! 😀 I didn’t take offense at all. Still intend to give you the walloping you deserve, of course. But cheerfully, rest assured. 😉

  61. Amy says:

I watched Jennifer’s Body (the movie) with a bunch of lesbians tonight. It was kind of a funny experience. It made me laugh. Everyone was really excited for the lesbian scene.

    • Alyx says:

Yikes, a horror movie?? I hope the lesbian scene was hot and not bloody! 😀 (It’s always great to be in a crowd of excited lesbians, I find. *g*)

  62. disneydyke says:

I can’t reply in the proper box-thingy but I wanted to say this. “I’ve been such a shit”. pippin, your catholic background clearly sounds in your tendency towards self-flagellation. Want to talk about it? (shrink notebook ready).

Sorry, that was too silly. I don’t know why you would say such things about yourself but you shouldn’t. Perhaps Alyx could spank those self-flagellation tendencies out of you. Not that I want you in trouble or anything.

Perhaps a kinklet tittled “I’m the one cracking the whip. young lady”.

    • disneydyke says:

This was all said in a joking tone. Although self-flagellation is a waste of time, that was serious. Oi… what I mean is my impulse control failed me again and I had to butt in.

    • Alyx says:

Dr. DisneyDyke (hmm, would that make you DDD?), as much as I would love to assist with anyone’s spanking therapy (I’m just thoughtful like that), doesn’t the idea of spanking someone for too much self-flagellation sound like the wrong way to go about things?? 😀

      • disneydyke says:

You are right of course. Considering the patient’s peculiar desires, she shall be given a spanking every week she doesn’t self-flagellate.
It has been established (as per SKF, yesterday) that she shall be given cake and a kitten every other week. She better watches out if she doesn’t want to end up like the crazy cat lady in The Simpsons.
Thanks you for your proffesional opinion, Dr. Alys.
        Sincerely,
        DDD. .

  63. Kayla says:

Did I miss the birthday party yet Aylx? I hope not. Doing anything special?

    • Alyx says:

I had very nice cupcakes, and special lunches and dinners, and loads of presents, Kayla. And most importantly, the best wishes from friends and family. So yeah….it was all pretty special. 🙂

  64. sandy says:

Ha! So much for TMT rarely frequenting your blog!

PS if this comment appears in the wrong place, it’s because of this buggery damn phone. I am still laptopless..the internet is no fun anymore!

    • Hmm… not sure what that refers to, Sandy, but truth to tell, I have been an infrequent visitor to the internet altogether for several months now… but of course I have a sixth sense where my sweetie is concerned… *g*

      • disneydyke says:

Well, I for one was missing you lovebirds interacting with each other. Always puts a smile to my face. Months without internet? How did you survive?

    • Alyx says:

Yes, wouldn’t you know she’d zero in on the one thread in thousands right at this time! *rubbing* Witches and Samhain, you know. 😉

P.S. You need a new laptop, Sandy! *frowning* I swear if my old one wasn’t so completely slow and outdated (and filled with stuff I’d need to delete first *g*), I’d send you one!

  65. 1chicklet says:

    Happy Birthday Alyx!!!

  66. Raine says:

Woot! Happy (belated) birthday, Alyx! 😀

  67. Katherine93 says:

Hey, y’all I’m delurking to rant. I’m in college and this girl comes in half an hour late to our class, EVERY TIME! And, she has the audacity to say good morning with a smile on her face. She has no regard for the rest of the class, and no respect for the professor as she texts in class the entire time she’s there. If anyone deserves a spanking it’s her. My palm was itching very badly today. Sorry if you don’t know me, I just had to rant.

    • Amy says:

Ha ha :). Katherine, I know exactly what you are talking about. That girl sounds really frustrating.
I am also in college. My sociology class is in a large lecture hall. There are these two girls who sit right behind me everyday and whisper. They think that no one else can hear them, but everyone can! The professor has even commented on whispering in the hall. Grr. So frustrating.

    • Alyx says:

Welcome back, Katherine! You signed on as Katherine93 this time, which is why you got moderated, but I do recall that you’ve posted before. The student in your class definitely needs a good spanking, but it is the responsibility of the professor to put a stop to anyone who is being so inconsiderate to the other students. If I were a prof with a student like that, I would definitely call her on it….in front of everyone else!

Same for you, Amy. The professor should call those rude students out and embarrass them. Hopefully that would shut them up. But then again some people are pretty clueless! *shaking head*

      • Katherine93 says:

Thanks Alyx, it’s good to be back. 🙂 I agree he should, but he’s too nice (something I don’t take advantage of btw). He should have dropped about half of the people in our class, but he won’t, and these kids know it. I’m only 19, but I know how to respect my professors.

        • Jazz says:

I agree that it’s immensely irritating when teachers/professors don’t maintain discipline in their classes. There was one girl in my year 11 chemistry class who was constantly talking and being disruptive. There was even one time when she threw a whiteboard marker at the teacher. He half heartedly asked her to stop being rude a couple of times but that was it. I ended up dropping the subject because it was too distracting and I wasn’t learning anything.

          • Alyx says:

That’s terrible! What happened to a sense of authority?? I’ll bet some teachers have had it beaten out of them by parents and administrators. *shaking head* It’s a shame.

            • Ash says:

Well I’m studying to be a teacher, and no one is going to ruin anything for those who want to learn in my class! It’s okay to not pay attention, but if you are noisy you can leave! 😦 Here we don’t punish students in school, but when they are older they are there by choice. Once a student is no longer a child they can decide whether they are serious about school or not… so if you ruin it for those who are serious… then I will ask them nicely to leave. 😛

              • Katherine93 says:

I think high school students need to have some repercussions, but college students, whether we like or not, are seen as adults, and should be treated like adults. If that means being kicked out of class, then so be it.

              • Alyx says:

I think reformed (or slightly reformed) brats like you and BG would make great teachers, Ash. I don’t see anything wrong with using creative methods to get them to pay attention either. I have to employ that all the time on my 3-year-old niece. 😀

But definitely keeping order is important. It’s okay if you don’t want to be there or don’t want to learn. You can leave. But you don’t get to spoil it for the others who want to be there and want to learn.

            • Basketball Girl says:

I have had the pleasure of teaching little children (<6 years of age) through adults in various lessons and classes. I find creative thinking is the answer to detouring disobedience and encouraging active participation. Creative thinking that only a reformed brat would be capable of 🙂

      • Raine says:

I have some pretty strict professors who announce on the first day that they won’t tolerate anyone who has their phone on display. Once, a professor kicked out a student when her phone rang. And don’t even get me started on being late, I missed one too many classes because of that. (super demanding professors can actually harm us with their policies me thinks)

        • Alyx says:

Sorry, but I totally agree with the ban on phones, Raine. Before there were smart phones people just had to wait till after class to talk/surf/connect. And no one ever died from it. In fact, we had a lot more socially-well-rounded people! 😀

          • Ash says:

I was actually in a lecture where a woman took a cell phone from a girl who was like 20 something. It was awesome! 😀 *LOL* I have never seen that before. Though the people in my lectures were serious people… they would sometimes come late, but they were quiet when they came in. Though this was a lecture on how the school library system worked… I guess you should fuck around with cranky librarians. 😉

          • Raine says:

Me too. I find it disrespectful to be occupied with phones while lectures are in session. 🙂

Hey Ash, I hear librarians are a kinky bunch. You might wanna test that theory and see if it’s true or not~

  68. Katherine93 says:

You would think they would have learned about respect by now.

  69. Amy says:

Alyx, I’ll bake you brownies if you write another story 🙂

    • Alyx says:

Hah, bribes now, hey? I’ll settle for the perfect brownie recipe! I haven’t found it yet, though I’ve tasted it a few times. Unfortunately I can’t describe what I’m looking for, but I know it when I taste it — not too fudgy, not too cakey, not too dry. Slightly chewy, with nuts. No chocolate chips. A certain je ne sais quoi that elevates it into perfection. *sigh* The search continues…..

  70. Amy says:

Did you get the email that I sent? You must be really really busy. On a side note. I have the flu. It is not fun.

    • Alyx says:

I don’t recall getting an email from you, Amy. But I will go look through the 1100 emails in my inbox again to make sure, okay? I am very behind on my correspondence. Hope you feel better soon! *hug*

      • Ash says:

Wow! Alyx, you are on popular lady! 😀

        • Amy says:

I told her that she is a celebrity, but she didn’t buy it and said her life is “boring”

          • Ash says:

Well… she might be like a super hero. Normal by day, but at night she is a famous spanko author with awesome powers! 😀 *giggle*

Hugs to Alyx who doesn’t know how awesome she is. 😉

            • Alyx says:

*hugs to Ash, a very fine brat herself* 😀

Hmm….like SuperTop, maybe? Flying around with my red cape and paddle? Leaving behind throbbing behinds, and better-behaved brats in my wake?? I like it! 🙂

              • Ash says:

Yes, it is pretty awesome! 😀 But remember the powers don’t work overseas. Europe is like kryptonite!

You should write a story about this hero, Alyx. *giggle* You can name her… emh… eh…Alyx! 😛

                • Alyx says:

*snort* If Europe was like kryptonite, I don’t think I would’ve succeeded in reddening bottoms in England and the Netherlands the way I did!

Maybe YOU should write a story about a SuperBrat, Ash. I know I’d be interested in reading about the adventures you’d give her! 😀

                • Ash says:

Meh… maybe. I am busy showing my Toppy side in stories. *giggle* For a challenge of course.

      • Alyx says:

I’m not popular, Ash. I just have too much stuff in my inbox! It’s actually down from 1,400, so I’m making progress. 😀

        • Ash says:

Ah well I have that too… I never delete stuff… sigh.

My mom has more than 1000 unopened emails in her inbox. She tells me she doesn’t, but I tell her that is why that number is in parentheses on her inbox. *LOL* I have just given up to help her. I just hope one day by a miracle she will understand technology on her own. 😛 *giggle* I’m not counting on it though.

          • Alyx says:

Hey, don’t make fun of your mother. It’s harder for people who haven’t grown up with technology, y’know! (Not surprisingly, I have great sympathy for the person who had to raise you, Ash! *LOL*)

            • Ash says:

Hey, I’ll have you know that I was a very behaved child. I never did anything seriously wrong… I think. If you should feel sorry for my mother, it should be that including her very adorable and charming daughter, she had three boys to raise! Tough I have heard that teenage girls are the worst… *cough* Anywho that was a billion years ago… I’m sure it was just a joy to raise you too! 😛

  71. lisa says:

Hi i have been lurking on this site for a while now and I just wanted to thank Alyx for her amazing stories, it would be fantastic if more stories followed (soon) but i’m not in a hurry as I lost quite a bit of sleep reading the existing stories and exploring Sapphic Kink!

    • Alyx says:

Welcome Lisa! Thank you for delurking and for your compliments. I am hoping to have another story soon…keep your fingers crossed. And yes, in the meantime there are lots of great stories out there. All the sites/blogs on the Sapphic Kink site, and don’t forget Loki Renard’s stories as well. 🙂

  72. Amy says:

Alyx Alyx Alyx! :D. I’m back in the city and I love it. I love the huge population and I love the lights of the city. I missed it so much.
I am also still quite sick. I have had a very severe cough for almost two weeks now. I am going to see the doctor about it some time this week.
I hope you are doing well.

    • Alyx says:

Amy Amy Amy! 😀 Welcome back to civilization! I’ve always lived close to the city so I have no idea what it’s like to live in a rural area….but I do dream of it sometimes. The city is so noisy, you know?

But yes go see the doc about your cough. Once it develops into bronchitis you’ll always have to worry about that whenever you get a cold in the future. Crossing my fingers that you’ll be back to health soon.

  73. amy8731Amy says:

    Hi Alyx,
Have you sifted through your bajillions of emails? It seems stressful. Good luck with that.

  74. maryk88 says:

So are we going to be seeing a cassie/nicky story soon?!

  75. Amy says:

She said maybe it will be a Christmas present to us!

  76. Espy80 says:

I wanted to say thank Alyx for creating this wonderful repository of stories and to slightly delurk.

I am very happy to have found a few like minded women wired in the same way and am looking forward to hearing more from you all and hopefully contributing a little myself too…

  77. Kayla says:

    Hey Alyx,

Do you watch The Big Bang? This last weeks episode was very funny. There was an actual spanking scene at the end. It was hilarious but you have to know the characters to understand why.

  78. Kayla says:

My gf watches for Sheldon’s gf Amy.

    • Alyx says:

I don’t watch the Big Bang Theory, but I am sorry to hear I missed a spanking scene! Maybe it’ll be on You Tube somewhere? *g*

      • Ash says:

Here in Norway we don’t get the same episodes that are on TV in America now, so Panda told me about it, and I saw on youtube. It was so funny I had to watch it three times in a row. *giggle*

Amy is my favorite character. 😀

    • Alyx says:

Okay, I just caught the scene on You Tube as well. That’s hilarious! One of the drawbacks of trying to “punish” someone who’s not averse to a spanking, eh? 😀

  79. Kayla says:

I know that’s what made it even funnier. Like when Sheldon told her she wasn’t supposed to be enjoying it so she stated that maybe if he could do it harder. Im not sure why but it reminded me of a couple of Brats here. Lol

  80. Espy80 says:

It’s been quiet for a couple of days…. Soooooo as we are ten days from Xmas….. I’m musing about story updates….. I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed as suggested….*vbg*

    • Alyx says:

OMG, was it only 10 days till Xmas?? Damn….I need to write faster!

      • espy80 says:

Cracks whip tentatively ???? Hehe I promise I’m kidding buuuuut I love your writing …. Will puppy dog eyes work here?

That said hope your Xmas prep is going /gone well.

I’m being very bad texting this from work. I want to go back to sleep. It’s snowing heavily here and I already spent nearly an hour clearing my drive and walkways. Sighs!!!!

  81. Espy80 says:

Also how do I change this odd icon by my name…. anyone know? Thanks!!!

  82. Espy80 says:

Woo hoo… Figured it out. Now ten points if you can name that pic… Lol

  83. Espy80 says:

Thank you and 10 points awarded 🙂

A proud moment of my techie advancement….? Hehe

  84. espy80 says:

    Why thank you 🙂 vbg

  85. Ash says:

*Dramatic sigh* Christmas stress… if only a really cool spanko author could post a new story so I can chill for a few and be entertained.

    • Kayla says:

I agree. I need a nice Christmas story to read while under the warm covers. I’m suffering through the Cali chill. 😛

      • Ash says:

*LOL* yes, I’m sure it is very old. Haha. Here it had been snowing all day and then the weather turned mild, and it rained a little. Now much of the snow is gone. 😦

    • Alyx says:

Wow, that’s uncanny, Ash! That’s what I was just wishing for! Know of any? 😀

I heard it’s pretty cold in California, Kayla. It’s been chilly here too…down into the lower 70s. 😉

      • Kayla says:

I’m not used to the 45 degree weather here in the mornings. I remember thinking it was a beautiful day when I was a kid in Kansas if it was 45 but not now. I’ve been here too long. I pull out the parka when it gets that cold. *L* My gf’s brother told me the other day that it had snowed. I just laughed. He told me straight faced that he had snow on his car that morning. I had to explain the difference between frost and snow. Even though most of the people I know are transplants it’s really fun to talk to a native about weather. The best was the time I took my gf to visist my Dad in Chicago. It was the first time she had ever seen snow. We had fun making snowmen and snow angels. It was like being a kid again. I think it would be nice to spend the winter in your part of the world. I’ll skip visiting where Ash is from until Summer. *g*

        • Alyx says:

Yeah, I know what you mean, Kayla. Growing up in Hawaii, I still find snow and cold weather a novelty. But I think the novelty would grow old pretty fast if I lived in it long enough. Dealing with snow chains and slippery ice and digging yourself out…*brrr* I’ll never forget reading stories about the fights that would happen in Chicago if someone dug out a parking space for themselves and someone else parked in it!

  86. maryk88 says:

Soo it’s officially Christmas and that means… story time!!…. right?!! (puppy dog pout) 😦

    • Alyx says:

Hey, Maryk88. It wasn’t officially Xmas when you posted that (at least not in my part of the world *g*), but it is now, and I’m afraid the story isn’t done yet. But I’ll keep working on it….thanks for hanging in there, puppy dog pout and all. 😀

  87. Ash says:

Ohhh I forgot… HAPPY CHRISTMAS, ALYX!!!! (≧◡≦) Hope you get many nice pressies. 😀

I opened all my pressies yesterday (the 24th), but I’m having family dinner today and tomorrow as well. My mom jokingly gave me a laundry hamper. Hmpfh… ok ok… I can take the hint. 😛 It’s okay… I got moneys too. *smirk* Though Santa (aka myself) gave me a 3DS game. Yay!

    • Alyx says:

Merry Christmas, Ash! *hug* I got some very nice pressies, thank you. I wasn’t quite as bratty clever as you to be a Santa to myself, but I will try to remember that trick for next year! 😀

      • Ash says:

Well no one else was gonna give me the Lego Lord of The Rings game. 😦 Only my best friend and my brother asked me what I wanted. So I got a the newest Rihanna CD and The Sims3 Season, and I played computer games all morning. Gotta love Chrsitmas! 😀
You haven’t been bratty at all? Santa might have given your sometimes Top a paddle for Christmas. *giggle* 😛

  88. tigger0011 says:

Merry Christmas Alyx! Ya know…a Cassie & Nickie story would work just as well for the New Year, too, ya know! I’ve kinda been a good girl this year..so I totally deserve a new story!

    • Alyx says:

Merry Christmas, Tiggeroo! You and all the brats totally deserve a new story, *nodding* And a New Year’s story would work fine….if I can finish it in time. *crossing fingers again* We’ll see. 🙂

      • Ash says:

A New Year story? Will Nicky get 2013 spanks? *giggle*

        • Alyx says:

Good grief, 2013 spanks?! Even Cassie wouldn’t be so mean! 😀

Actually, I have finished the story, but my beta-reader has pointed out a few places it could be improved, so I will be working on it on New Year’s Day, and hope to post it shortly thereafter. Maybe even the same day, if I can work fast enough. 🙂

  89. Amy says:

I need to tell you a story. I am a member of a leadership organization and we were having a reunion. I needed a ride after the reunion to another side of the state, so I asked a group of people from the reunion if they could drive me to a city that I will not name. Dylan, the driver of the car said, “Sure, but it is a two door sports car and you would be the last person who could fit.” I got to the car and it was, in fact, two doors. We stuffed the trunk until it would fit no more, we stuffed three people into the tiny back seat, we put three bags in the back seat, and two pillows. There was a pillow in the front seat. Then, on our way in the small sports car, it snowed five inches of snow! It was an adventure, indeed.

    • Alyx says:

Hey there, Amy! I am trying to imagine just how FULL that car was! And it’s a good thing you and the crowd weren’t buried in that snow. (Though it sounds like you all would’ve stayed very warm. *LOL*) Hope your holidays were good and that you have a great 2013. 🙂

  90. lola says:

Happy New Year! I hope 2013 is a great year for you and all your loved ones!

  91. Happy New Year Alyx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try to be less naughty in this coming Year 🙂 I know I wont

    • Alyx says:

Happy New Year Bahamagirl! Whew, that’s a relief! If I heard you were going to be less naughty, I would think the Mayan calendar was right! *LOL* 😉

  92. espy80 says:

Happy new year to one and all especially Alyx who led me to many curiously good things this year!!!

    • Alyx says:

Happy New Year, Espy! May 2013 be filled with more good things to satisfy that curiosity of yours! 😀

      • espy80 says:

Thank you Alyx. I’m sitting in my second airport of the day wishing I didn’t have to leave my folks. The return to real life is a little sucky today.

Hope you had a good New Years celebration – however you did it!

Take care and I’m excited about a new story.

  93. Kayla says:

Happy New Year! I have no New Year’s resolution. Why set myself up for failure. *L* Hope this coming year is filled with great memories and wonderful stories.

    • Alyx says:

Oh my gosh, did I never return your New Year’s wishes??? I’m sorry, Kayla. I hope this coming year is filled with lots of laughter and spanking for you. Er….via stories, of course. 😉

  94. Amy says:

    What happened to sappho’s brats?

  95. Espy80 says:

    Hey Alyx

It’s a little quieter here now so… Given this page is to bug you 🙂 is there another work in progress?

    Hope you’re doing okay!

    Espy

    • Alyx says:

Hey Espy! There is always another work in progress. The question is which one(s) in the queue and how well are they progressing? *g* And the answer is, a couple of them, and very slowly. Right now I’m busy trying to do a belated New Year’s de-cluttering, but I will definitely make time for some writing too, okay?

Thanks for asking, and I hope all is well in your part of the world too! 🙂

      • Ash says:

Alyx, are you working on a fairytale spanking story? 😀 I think that should be your priority. *nod*

        • Alyx says:

Well, does the next one in the Queen/Harvest series count? Because that’s one of the ones I’m working on. 🙂

          • Ash says:

            Yay! 😀 *hug*
When will you post it? Maybe in time for my birthday? 😀 I swear this time it really is my birthday soon. A month from yesterday in fact.

            • Alyx says:

Ash, if you really have birthdays as often as you say you do, you’d be 100 years old by now! *roll eyes* But no, it won’t be finished that quickly, I’m afraid. Guess you’ll have to settle for a birthday spanking instead. *eg*

              • Ash says:

                Awww… okay. 😦

And I only lied about my birthday once. Well it wasn’t that much lying… because I told the truth very quickly. 😀

      • Espy80 says:

        Hey Alyx 🙂

It’s cold right now. Brrrrrr -30’s! I need to do some spring cleaning and sorting too but that’s low on the priority list to match my motivation level for that stuff!!!

Great news that there are stories on the boil… Is there anything I could do to incentivize you to increase the churn of the muse ???? I’d be happy to help in any way I can *vbg*

        Speak soon!!!

        • Alyx says:

It’s cold here too — the other day it was 59 deg! Brrrr. 😀

Your interest helps incentivize the muse already, Espy! But thanks for the offer. 😛

          • Espy80 says:

TGIF. That is the rebounding thought in my head right now.

Hope it warms up where you are Alyx. It’s not likely here til May… I might as well move to my igloo in the garden!!!

I’m glad the muse is inspired and motivated. *vbg* I really do love the way you write. I think sometimes that the way a person writes might convey their spirit as a person, if that’s true, then I imagine you as warm, funny, empathetic, and very relatable.

            • Alyx says:

Aww, that’s a very sweet thing to say, Espy, thank you. 🙂 It’s true that I am very down-to-earth and just an average person. Other than the kink thing, of course. 😀

  96. Raine says:

Hey Alyx. Do you know what happened to SKF? It kinda..disappeared.:(

    • Alyx says:

Sorry, Raine, have no idea. Pippin mentioned something about changing the way the registration works, so maybe she was fiddling with stuff and broke it. 😀 Best thing to do is write and ask her.

      • Ash says:

Broke it? You can do that? All I know is that I tried to click on the other SK pages (about, and kink), and those were down too. *giggle* Trying to click on those I got a sexy picture and a “Young lady, I told you not to tamper with the code!”

        • Alyx says:

Sure, you can break anything. YOU of all people should know that! 😉

I’m not saying that’s what happened. I have no idea. Maybe she felt like taking a break. Who knows? One has to take a very Buddhist approach to things on the Net (i.e., a policy of non-attachment) because I’ve learned they can disappear in a second, and frequently do.

          • Ash says:

Are you calling me clumsy? 😛

Yeah, maybe she needed a break or something. Which is well deserved. 😀

I don’t know much about the Buddhist ways. I know the theory from a religion and ethics class, but I can’t imagine meditating would work for me. Doesn’t one have to be able to sit still? 😀

            • kiaigrrl says:

I am referred to as a “Buddha head” in (and out) of the dojo because the martial art I study is always on my mind with everything I do and I obsess over getting the moves perfect…but I used to not sit still well either for meditation. It’s a learned art and in the beginning, I admit that I would fall asleep straight away and my Sensei would literally knock me over from my already seated position to wake me up…yep, I would be on the ground confused with other students standing trying not to laugh! *giggle* But I’ve worked my way up to 60 minutes – without falling asleep, thanks to my annoyingly persistent Sensei and his ever changing and creative ways to wake me up! Okay, Buddha Head out! *bows and runs back into the shadows as a good ninja should*

              • Alyx says:

I give you credit, Kiaigrrl. I’d fall asleep for sure. In fact, my exes will tell you that me lying down with my eyes closed for any time longer than 10 minutes will result in them hearing snoring, guaranteed! *LOL*

                • kiaigrrl says:

Lol! It’s definitely a learned art. I’m sure you would stay awake if you had someone bopping your head as soon as you fall asleep! Or maybe they would *bop* your butt…..*giggles* :p

      • Raine says:

        Ohhh I see. Thank you, Alyx~ 😀

      • Alyx says:

Of course I’m not calling you clumsy, Ash! I’m calling you naughty! 😀

But actually, I don’t mean to take your or Raine’s inquiry lightly. I realize many of you were delighted to discover like minds at the SK Forum, and feel kind of lost without it. I remember what that’s like, and you do have my sympathy. *hug* I saw pippin recently and she was fine, and I’m sure she appreciates your emails and support. 🙂

  97. Amy says:

    Good morning, Alyx.
I discovered recently that I am, in fact, demisexual.
On a separate note: There is a blizzard by me.

    • Alyx says:

Hey there, Amy. I had to Google “demisexual” to find out what you were talking about — I’d never heard that term before! Very interesting. I think it’s a perfectly legitimate life choice (or rather, way of being, since I’m not sure how much of a “choice” it is), but I’m not sure I’d classify it as a “sexual orientation” the way heterosexual, bisexual, gay, or asexual are orientations.

I mean, it seems to me you can be both demisexual and heterosexual, for example. But you can’t be both gay and straight at the same time. (And yes, I know some of you hate labels and so just ignore this discussion because no one is trying to force you into a label, okay?)

As for me, I think I’ve discovered over time sex with someone I’m not in love with is not as enjoyable, so I don’t find myself sexually attracted to anyone outside of a relationship. I didn’t start out this way, but it just makes more sense to me these days. 🙂

    • Kayla says:

Word of the day….demisexual. I had to Google it too. *L* I’ve been going back and forth as to whether I fit the definition or not. At first I was going to say that I’m not a demisexual because I do experience sexual attraction to other people without being in a relationship with them. However; I’m not sure that I’m interpreting the meaning correctly. For me sexual attraction does form when I’m having a deep emotional connection with someone. When we’re interested in people we find something attractive about them and it kind of grows into a more sexual experience (daydreams and such). However, I would never act on those thoughts/feelings sexually outside of a relationship. I do agree that I wouldn’t consider it an orientation as much as a preference.

      • Alyx says:

It seems to me the definition I read was trying to say it’s more than a preference because demisexuals simply can’t be another way, that it’s not a choice for them. But I think lots of people (women especially) feel the way you and I do, Kayla.

I can look at Lucy Lawless and think she’s pretty attractive. But as far as being sexually attracted to her? Not so sure. On the other hand, my lover’s voice can make my knees weak, and that’s because I’m in love with her. I never fantasize about anyone else. But I do admit to coming into this way of being in the last several years. When I was in my 20s, I was less selective…..and didn’t have half as much fun. *LOL*

  98. Esspy says:

Hope y’all are doing ok. I’m playing with WordPress settings so hope it’s ok for a tester post Alyx!

  99. esspy says:

    Hey Alyx

I was trying to play with how I appear on blogs and yes, slightly adjust my username.

It mainly seems to have worked so I’m a happy camper.

TGIF… Hope you have a good weekend. 🙂

    Esspy

  100. SP says:

    Alyx, Kung hey fat choy!!
Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

    • Alyx says:

Gung hee fat choy, SP! May the year of the snake blesssssssss you with wisssssdom rather than naughtinessssss. 😀

      • esspy says:

As per google translate… a happy and prosperous new year to you both.

Are either of you Chinese speakers?

        • Alyx says:

I only know a few words (mostly food *bg*), and in Cantonese rather than Mandarin, I’m afraid. (The Chinese that first populated Hawaii all came from Cantonese-speaking areas.)

I believe SP is in the process of becoming multilingual, but I’ll let her answer for herself. 😀

          • esspy says:

Food words are the most important. Survival first, conversation second? 🙂

I only know a very few words of Chinese but I do remember learning how to write the numbers from 1-10 during a very dull work based training so my friend showed me and I drew them all day. Sadly all I remember now is 1-4 … Maybe 5…

being multilingual is an admirable aim. I’m functional in two, able to make myself understood for very simple stuff in two more and read and write another but with no understanding. Therefore still stuck at functionally albeit not beautifully bilingual and not likely to progress to multi unless I get a sustained surge of motivation. Relatively unlikely at the current point in life.

That said, any progeny I make *hopefully&wistfully* will with any luck start off life trilingual in this area I call home and then we can add a couple more. Ahhhh vicarious living 🙂

            • Alyx says:

Being functionally bilingual is admirable and it sounds as if you have a smattering of other languages too. I’m impressed. Wish I could say the same. But then Yanks are usually behind lots of other countries when it comes to speaking more than one language. I think aiming to have your kids multilingual is a great goal. Heck, even wanting kids is too ambitious for me at this point! 😀

              • Well, Hon you are at least bilingual: in as much as you can more than get by in proper UK English, as well as American. *vbg* *ducks and runs for cover*

                • Alyx says:

*LOL* Hah, you bugger! 😀 At least I’ve learned the proper way to pronounce “naughty,” eh? You’re just lucky I won’t explain in what context I learned that! *bg*

              • Ash says:

*LOL* Alyx… you have a way to make me feel better about things.*bg* Here I was feeling like a total idiot because I can’t speak French fluently. Though I must admit, I don’t spend much time trying to learn. This year I am being made to have Danish and Swedish lessons. I can speak them, but it’s to learn to read and write properly, because I need it for my degree.

You know… you yanks might not speak many languages (usually), but then again… you really don’t need to. People all over learn English anyways. I certainly don’t expect you to write Norwegian to me. 😛

                • Alyx says:

I’m not sure I like the idea that I make you feel better in comparison to me! 😛 *g*

Actually Ash, I envy your ability to learn so many languages. That’s just not one of my strengths, I’m afraid. But it is a good thing I was born in America, because I doubt if I could learn a crazy language like English otherwise! 😆

                • Ash says:

Umh… I realize that might have sounded insensitive, but that really wasn’t my intention. 🙂 I’m sorry, Alyx. What I mean was… that it is prefectly normal not to know many languages, and so if I don’t master one, I shouldn’t feel bad, especially when I haven’t really tried to master it.

But me being able to communicate in English really isn’t that impressive. Growing up most programs on TV were in English, and so was most of the music I listened to. Before I even knew there were such a thing as another language, I used words like “please” and “yes” as slang.
I’not going to deny that my English skills might be above average compared to other Norwegian people, but what I mean is… it really wasn’t that hard. And I have come to find that other languages were more tricky to learn, because they are not on TV all the time, and I do not listen to that kind of music. So when it’s not around you all the time, and the only basic you have is from trying to learn in a classroom at school… it’s a lot harder.

Swedish and Danish I have always been able to understand. Especially Swedish, because I grew up watching the Pippi Longstocking movies. 😀

                • Alyx says:

You didn’t sound insensitive, goose! I was just teasing you. I think it does make a difference if one can learn languages from a very young age, but you are being too modest. I think it’s great you can speak so many languages, and you should be proud of that. 🙂 (Hmm, I wonder if TMT will start to speak Danish after all the foreign series she’s been watching? *vbg*)

                • Ash says:

Well she can write Danish in here and on SK, and then Ash-brat can correct her! *giggle* 😀

              • esspy says:

I want kids badly. Very. Going through some sort of scary stuff which means I might not be able, but I can’t imagine not becoming a mum.
Ah well life is one day at a time.

                • Alyx says:

*hug* I’m sorry to hear about the scary stuff, Esspy. I’ll send healing energy your way and keep my fingers crossed. I think, if you really want it that much, that you’ll become a mum one way or another. But yes, just take it one day at a time. 🙂

  101. Hej Ash, All I know it that the statsministeren in Borgen, Birgitte Nyborg is *hot*. *thud* For helvede. Tak. Hej hej.

    – And no – I don;t speak Danish! I have been doing a complete Danish drama fest, though – watching Borgen and the Killing III back to back and I’m now utterly addicted to Copenhagen Noir! Tusind Tak.

    • Ash says:

*LoL* I had to google Birgitte Nyborg. I’m like… what prime minister is she talking about?
I might be taking a semester in Copenhagen, and if I do, I intend to perfect my danish., their pronunciation is a little tricky. For some reason danish people don’t understand me when I speak Norwegian… probably because I’m not from the capital. Last time I was in Copenhagen and tried to speak Norwegian people just started speaking English to me. For shame! Talk about Scandinavian betrayal!

      • Ahh well, Ash-brat, now I can see why you weren’t up to date with the latest hip Danish drama – you have your own *crackling* TV shows to contend with… *Teasing g*

        http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21482313

(LOL about your ‘Scandinavian betrayal’ line, btw!)

        • Ash says:

Omg… *blushing* Don’t believe any of it! There might be such a program, I wouldn’t be surprised after their minute by minute cruise ship and train ride shows, but we do not watch that stuff, well… the majority doesn’t, but NRK have many TV-channels and most only use one of them.
          I don’t really like TV much… well I do watch QI. 😀
The only Norwegian TV-show I like to watch is one where they take Americans who are extremely proud of their Norwegian heritage (because they great grandfather or something came from the country), and let them compete against each other, and make them do really ridiculous “Norwegian” stuff, and taste the most odd kinds of food we have. 😀 Now that is entertaining!

        • Alyx says:

ROTFL! That’s hilarious. But be honest, Aer — you’d love to watch the bits about how to chop and stack wood, wouldn’t you? 😉

          • Ash says:

Let me just say that I do not have a fireplace. Well we do in our mountain cabin, but unless I’m there, I don’t even use firewood. I don’t need to learn how to chop and stack wood. It’s not rocket science. Spread your legs so you don’t chop your legs off, and use your stomach muscles when swinging. And don’t let the wood get wet, and dry it until it can catch fire. Any idiot can do that, if they need instructions… there is always google!

However… come to think of it… I do enjoy making fires. 😀

          • yes. … or… I could be a consultant on those sections. *imagining being *paid* to talk about log piles* *wistful sigh*

          • Alyx says:

I find it funny you’re so emphatic about your lack of a fireplace, Ash. I would love to have a fireplace….unfortunately not much need for it in Hawaii!

TMT has a wonderful fireplace. And I think it would be neat to chop wood, actually. What little axe-swinging I’ve done makes me think it’s a bit trickier than you describe. I mean, to do it well is an art. Or so TMT assures me. 😉

            • Basketball Girl says:

I have chopped and split a lot of wood. It is great for stress relief and you also get wood when you finish

              • Alyx says:

I actually think I would like chopping wood, Basketball Girl. And then think of the great callouses you build up….nice hard palms. *eg*

Btw, TMT sent me this great link about more on that Norwegian firewood show Ash’s compatriots are fascinated about: Great Firewood Controversy. It’s hilarious! 😆

  102. bahamagirl1996 says:

Happy Valentines day Alyx ! Lovin you from the Bahamas 🙂 Now you know lent den start , so I tryin to give up being naughty for 40 days . Lemme tell you gal……… It only been 1 day and I ain lookin good babes , ya girl tryin doh

    • Alyx says:

Happy Valentine’s Day, Bahamagirl! I wish you all the luck in the word in giving up being naughty. I think it’ll be good for your self-discipline to at least attempt it. 😀 If I hear about a volcano exploding unexpectedly over there, I’ll know what happened! 😉

  103. Ash says:

Alyx… how is it going with the story? 😀 I’ve heard the Queen can be a royal pain in the ass. *LOL*

    • Alyx says:

Ash-brat! You are terrible! *laughing* And yes, sometimes she can be, but she is still the Queen and Rowan wouldn’t have it any other way. 🙂

The story hasn’t been worked on for the last couple of weeks, to be honest. I’m entertaining a houseguest, and enjoying a short vacation from work. But I will get some writing in today…..right after a nice walk in the sunshine.

      • Ash says:

Sigh.. would it make you creative if I said it was my birthday? I shall blow on my candleless pavlova wishing for spanky fairytales. 😀
Just kidding…you deserve a break. Me too, though my break is a study week. *LOL* That is what they call it when all the professors take a winter break.

        • Alyx says:

Was yesterday your birthday, or today?? When you said “a month from Jan 24” I figured you meant Feb 24! In any case, Happy Birthday Ash! *several birthday swats* I hope you had a very nice celebration and the birthday spanking you deserve. 😀

          • Ash says:

Thanks, Alyx. The 24th was my birthday… so today… well for about 48 more minutes. But I’m being sent to bed now lol. I had a nice celebration. I made pavlova to my family. 😀 But I did not get a birthday spanking. My toppy wrote “swat x 24”, on skype. *LOL* Oh gotta go to bed now… O_o
            Night

      • Peach says:

Hope you enjoyed your walk Alyx. 🙂 I just got back from a walk in the mountains (hills really). I was with a colleague and his wife and we talked and walked, and before long we’d done EIGHT miles! Oh, just ate two cinnamon buns with frosting. Yum. heehee
        Feliz domingo.

        • Alyx says:

EIGHT MILES?!? That’s not a walk, that’s torture! *bg* Sounds like you had a nice time, though.

As it happens, we ended up going fishing instead of walking. There’s a great walking path near the ocean, but you can also throw a line into the water, so we did so. It was looooovely. 🙂

  104. esspy says:

…. quietly cracks whip in hope that it will act as a motivator… *vbg*
In seriousness, I’m a little envious of the sunshine. Its snowing here and its making me sleepy!
Enjoy your guest 🙂 I can only imagine you must have a steady stream of visitors living somewhere so idyllic.

    • Alyx says:

I am enjoying the visit and my time off from work, Esspy. I felt very lucky standing in the sunshine yesterday looking at the blue sky and feeling the gentle winds on my face. Today it’s overcast again, but even so it’s rarely very unpleasant here. And there are always rainbows. 🙂

(Careful that whip doesn’t get picked up and used against you, missy. *bg*)

      • esspy says:

Heehee I might like that however I’d probably sing requests for alternatives!

I was wet snow here today. Very wet. My boots only just stayed dry walking downtown. The super wet snow is very heavy and hard work to shovel. That’s my little moan for the day. I’d like to see a rainbow.

I saw a few lovely rainbow families today though. Perfectly adorable kids with their mummy pairs. Normal here. Thank God or something that other ppl believe in.

        • Alyx says:

Oh, you’d be singing, all right. *vbg*

I love walking around where alternative families are not given a second thought. Or where I can hold my girlfriend’s hand and feel perfectly comfortable. *sigh* One day….

          • esspy says:

I hope one day soon in the states Alyx. Very soon.

I look forward to a time when we are just family and not even thought of as alternative.

I like to sing. Very much. Hehehe.

I’m not sure how nice it is for others to hear me though. Lol. My talents have limits!

          • esspy says:

How powerful a song would it take you to distract you properly….Do I need to get in training?

            • Alyx says:

Now what makes you think I’d be distracted, hmm? When a brat is over my knee and singing her little heart out, I actually get more focused. The swats fall faster, the impact becomes more intense, and a definite gleam appears in my eye. The only thing more lovely than the pleas and whimpers and “ouch’s” of naughty girl’s song, is the bounce of her reddened bottom as it keeps time to the beat of my palm. Ah, such sweet music to my ears! *happy sigh*

              • esspy says:

What if the brat yodels from the phone book. And then recites the periodic table ????
Complete with a serenade about Henry the eight???

In seriousness, if I wasn’t gaga tonight I would probably volunteer. 🙂

              • esspy says:

Hmmmm plus this one in her highly
                Addled state would hide
All your toys and immobilize hand with a magic spell.

                • Alyx says:

*musing* You know, it might be interesting to hear a brat recite the periodic table. Especially since it’s changed since I first learned it! 😀 (I love that Henry the VIII song! I can hear that Cockney accent singing it in my mind right now.)

But it would take some magic spell to immobilize my hand, young lady. I haven’t come across one yet that’s accomplished that. *g*

              • esspy says:

It is indeed beautiful music to some. To others it might sound like wailing rather than wassailing but I get where you are coming from. At least I hope I do. I hope deeply that all the noise making isn’t unattractive and off putting 🙂 my sweetheart assures me it’s not but the never ending worrier in me worries perpetually about these things.
                Reassurance is good. 🙂
Hope you had a good weekend!

                • Alyx says:

You should listen to your sweetie. 🙂 And yes, reassurance is vital.

I had an excellent weekend! Hope yours was equally enjoyable. 😀

                • esspy says:

Smiling now. I try but some messages are slow to reach my brain.

It was very peaceful thank you! Counting the days til Friday night !

Urghhhh another 16 hr day starts soon.

                • Alyx says:

Yikes, 16-hour days are not good! Hope you caught up on some rest and relaxation this past weekend. 🙂

                • esspy says:

Just a little. Back to the same grind this week but I can’t complain too much about it. Thems the choices I guess. In my next life I will be an island princess!!! Hope you have a great week!

                • Alyx says:

Island princess, huh? And I’m trying to channel the Warrior Princess. 😀 You have a great week too!

                • esspy says:

Hehe ok thinking more grass skirts and drinking out of coconuts here and staring into the blue seas. Sighs wistfully.

  105. Amy says:

I always really liked the Queen and Rowan story. I am VERY excited 🙂

  106. bahamagirl1996 says:

The good thing is that dad’s so thinkin I’m not doin bad stuff ( poor man love him though ) tomorrow is Palm Sunday and we are having a birthday party for Daddy ( he’s 88 ) can’t help but put liquor in the punch and my sisters all gave up drinking for Lent. hahaha . Well , hope you and the bosslady are super fine and I still hopin you ask homeslice to continue the Queen and Rowan story . Help a Island sista out dred. Lovin you for the Bahamas babes.

    • Alyx says:

Hey BahamaGirl! Glad to hear you are still trying to be good, even though it’s a struggle. One day, huh? *LOL* I shudder to think what you would’ve gotten up to if you had not been “trying”! 😆

Island grrls are the best, and don’t worry, I am working on bosslady’s writing. She’s really busy now, but maybe if I finish my Queen and Rowan story it will inspire her. One can hope. Take care and sending best wishes for your poor long-suffering father. Eighty-eight is a favorite number of mine, so I’m raising a glass to him too! 🙂

  107. bahamagirl1996 says:

Thanks gal , can’t wait to read it. Just cause I was plottin , I had an asthma attack 😦 now I’m laid up and on my machine . I hate that my asthma came back dred now I have to try at least to be alittle good. I most believe that I gettin my licks cause when I was small me and my little sister use to change the money in the collection plate . Daddy use to give us $5 every Sunday , but me the genius told my sister to lest only put a dollar in and go down the road and get soda and candy. Will somebody gone and talk our business , cause one Sunday we came home and Momma asked us how was the service , just so you know we never was in church too long . Of course we lied like the idiots we were and got a lickin that I am still feelin to this day:) She not only started taking us herself ( to 1st mass 6 am ) she made us put our monies in an envelope which she checked and sealed , so our good times were so over. Anyho , hope you are not sweatin cross there cause it hot as hell down here . It look like it’s goin to be an active hurricane season . Take care my Island Gal.

    • Alyx says:

Oh, you deserved that lickin! *shaking head* But I’m sorry to hear your asthma kicked in. My breathing gets affected sometimes when the wind changes and all the volcano haze blows this way. Luckily it’s pretty cool here now. Take care.

  108. maryk88 says:

Heeyy! haha just stopped by to say hi! Hope you’re doing well!

    • Alyx says:

Hi there, Maryk! I am doing pretty well, though very busy and expecting a guest in a couple of weeks. Thanks for stopping by, and hope you’re doing well too. 🙂

      • maryk88 says:

I am doing well thanks! I’m also very busy, 28 Kindergarteners keep me on my toes haha and I’m wishing all this stupid snow on the middle east coast would go AWAY! I want warm weather lol I think I’m about ready to move to Flordia, California, or Hawaii lol. Have fun with your guest! Glad you are doing well!

        • Alyx says:

Oh my, 28 kindergarteners?? The next time I am fed up with my job, I shall remember that. *g* And yes, I hear from my friends that the weather is crazy in other places. But hang in there…spring is really here and I’m sure it’ll feel more like it soon. 🙂

  109. bahamagirl1996 says:

    Happy Easter Alyx !

    • Alyx says:

A very Happy Easter to you too, BahamaGirl! Hope you’re feeling better and can enjoy a nice Easter celebration. At least now you can stop straining yourself trying to be good. 😉

  110. Kayla says:

    Happy Easter!

    • Alyx says:

Happy Easter, Kayla! Long time no see…hope all is well in your part of the world. 🙂

      • Kayla says:

I know, it feels like forever! Everything is great over here. Been a little busy brewing up a little one. I saw Hawaii in the news and I thought of you and had to stop by. Hope you are well and I’m glad to hear your contining to move through the writers block. Can’t wait to read the next story.

        • Alyx says:

Brewing up a little one?? That’s exciting! Let us know if congratulations are in order. 🙂

(I wouldn’t say I’ve beaten the writer’s block yet. But I haven’t given up trying. Good thing I have a strong right arm. *g*)

  111. Ash says:

Happy Easter, Alyx. So how is that story coming along? 😀

    • Alyx says:

Happy Easter, Ash! Was the bunny good to you? 😀 The story is coming along slowly, I’m afraid. But I will work on it more this week. Keep your fingers crossed!

      • Ash says:

Oh yeah. The Easter bunny (my brother) hid two eggs under the flag pole outside our mountian cabin. One for my niece, and one for me… We only had to work our way through several feet of snow! Well I had to, because being a 5’8 grown-up, I don’t weight 15 kg like my niece. she could walk on the surface without sinking in. LoL
Oh and then my mom ate most of my candy! I don’t mind sharing, but come on!

  112. Amy says:

“New Zealand Approves Gay Marriage Bill” 🙂 I bet Loki’s celebrating 🙂 .

  113. Amy says:

I read an article about gay marriage in the book Gaga Feminism. It was extremely insightful. Basically, Halberstam, the author of the book argues that marriage is an institution used to exclude large groups of people and that the lgbt community shouldn’t fight for gay marriage, they should simply fight for rights allotted in marriage and not become part of the exclusion.
In our society, the idea of getting rid of marriage would not fly, however, Halberstam provides an interesting way of looking at the issue, for sure!

    • Alyx says:

That’s a good point, Amy. To be honest, for me personally they could call it “Strictly Come Dancing” 😀 and I wouldn’t care, as long as they give me the exact same rights and privileges as het marriage. I know for some people having the societal and/or religious blessing makes a big difference, and I can understand that. But being a lesbian I’m used to doing without it, and I realize marriage is an institution which serves what’s convenient for society, or to endorse the social mores. I would be happy in a “civil union” that allows me the same tax and inheritance benefits, that would allow me to marry my lover and make her a US citizen, if that’s what we both wanted. But I haven’t yet seen an arrangement that’s not called marriage but is exactly the same in every other respect.

  114. Kayla says:

Hey Aylx just wanted to drop by and say that the bun in the oven is done. She came 3 weeks ago but I was a little busy to stop by and share. She was also 3 weeks early but that is a long story. Little Athena surprised us all by not being a boy. *L* Everyone said I was having a boy and I was even convinced but I didn’t want to know until the baby arrived. So few real surprises left since the news got out about Santa. I know I have a lot of reading and commenting to catch up on. Glad to see things are still lively here. 🙂

    • Congrats on the little one . Athena is an awesome name.

    • Alyx says:

Woo-hoo!! Congratulations, Kayla! Thanks for stopping by to let us know! That is wonderful news, and yes, Athena is a beautiful name. 🙂 Wishing you and your family all the best, and get all the sleep you can. You’re going to need it. 😀 *hugs*

      • Kayla says:

Oh how I miss a good nights sleep. I tried to convince my wife that it was take your daughter to work day but that didn’t work. You would think with all these extra night time hours I would be able to catch up on some reading but that is not the case. However, I am getting pretty good at scrolling through my phone with one hand. Thanks for the Congrats and I am looking forward to your next story.

        • Alyx says:

From what I understand, the secret is to sleep when baby sleeps. Most women try to fit in as many tasks to take advantage of the free time, but that is really the only time you have to catch up on sleep too. So resist the temptation to clean, etc., and get some winks too!

          • Pixie says:

Alyx is right. Ignore the chaos and when baby sleeps you do too! Enjoy your little girl. Mine is 6 now – they grow up too too fast. Cherish this first year! Congratulations!!

  115. bahamagirl1996 says:

Hey Alyx , you ever heard of a soap called life buoy ? When I was small my mother use to let us bathe with that first then use the zest ,( that’s how dirty we were ) but when we fibbed or swore she washed our mouths out with it . Man Alyx that’s the most foulest thing on Gods green earth. I wanted to know if you know anybody else who suffered like innocent old me. Lemme know island grrl

  116. Amy says:

I declared a double major in English and Women’s Studies about a week ago. I’m really excited about the women’s studies major. I’m really passionate about understanding gender expression. I thought I’d tell you because I think that you and a lot of people on this site can relate to gender expression 🙂 .

    • Alyx says:

Hey Amy, long time no see. English and Women’s Studies, huh? That’s awesome. 🙂 I took a couple of Women’s Studies classes in college and it was a great place to meet lesbians. *cough* Not that that’s your motivation, of course. I think gender expression should be pretty interesting…keep us posted!

  117. tigger0011 says:

    Hey Alyx,
So..tell me again where Cassie and Nicky are? Lost in the Alaskan tundra maybe? Fallen into a wormhole in space?
    *Grinning*
I’m not feeling well lately, so my “spanky life coach” will be coming soon to help take care of me. Hurray! Maybe she will also get a little bit of the brat out of my system? Or not…

    • Fizzy says:

TIGGER!!! *mini-bounce* we’ve missed you. 🙂 I’m sorry you’re not feeling well though. I hope your inner brat will help you get better soon because resisting things is what brats do best. 😀

    • Alyx says:

Hey Tiggeroooo! *hug* Cassie and Nicky are right where I left them, wise-brat! *swat* I’m sorry to hear you’re under the weather, but I’m sure your SLC (Spanky Life Coach *g*) will do you a world of good! However I think it would take a bigger paddle than she has to get the brat out of YOUR system! 😆

      • Micah says:

Hello Alyx and Fizzy. It’s great to see a post from Queen Fizzy (queen of brats). I’ve missed smiling at her ingenius antics.
Ummm……Alyx …..Have you got any advice on getting implements through the airports? With the arsenal I need to carry, I’m scared they will consider me a threat of some kind.
Tigger has the misguided opinion that feeling bad is a ‘get out of spanking free’ card. She has stockpiled enough brat antics to keep us busy for quite some time. So much so, that I’m worried I’ll get a hernia from carrying so much ‘fire power’ in my bag.

        • Alyx says:

Hey Micah! I’ve been lucky enough not to be stopped at any airport with my arsenal (*chuckle* ARSEnal, hah!). But I make sure it’s always in my check-in, not my carry-on, and in spite of that I prepare myself in case I should be questioned anyway. I suggest you do the same — rehearse exactly what you’re going to say if the unthinkable happens and airport security asks about them. I suggest a matter-of-fact, “They’re erotic toys…is there a problem?” Not challenging or defensive, but not ashamed either. I think if you just act like you have nothing to be embarrassed about (despite the fact that I know I can’t control my blushes), that the security personnel is more likely to be embarrassed than you! I’d probably add a friendly grin too, implying that they have no idea what they’re missing! *LOL*

I’m sure Tigger is much too smart to think she’s going to escape a well-deserved punishment, Micah. I’ll bet she’ll just be happy to see you and your strong arm. If not the implements. 😀

          Enjoy your visit! *hug*

        • Fizzy says:

I wouldn’t worry too much about it, Micah. Just be aware that they might take your implements and leave a TSA note. Which you can find examples of online. In fact, you might only discover this note after you’ve arrived at Tigger’s place, and you may be surprised because you thought you’d checked and that your implements were there, but that kind of memory lapse is often associated with jet lag. If you do find your implements are missing, the only thing to do is forgive Tigger her misbehavior and give her ice cream. Good luck!

  118. Micah says:

(slapping my hand to my forehead in exasperation)
Dang it! I just came from the messageboard where I voted soft and brief and called Fizzy, The Queen. Now, I read this!
Alyx….can I do a revote and delete my messageboard entries? I have had a change of heart.

    • Alyx says:

Don’t worry, I will count your vote as HARD and Lengthy instead! 😀

She nearly pulled that stunt on me when I went to visit her once. Remove my implements from my suitcase when I wasn’t in the room and replace it with a TSA note. The only thing that stopped her was I’d given her a spanking with every implement I had for hiding the ruler the previous time I’d visited her when I wasn’t about! I should know to lock up my arsenal, but I’m far too trusting.

Then she tried to convince me to play that trick on TMT, because she felt someone should be using such a brilliant idea. Now I see she’s trying to convince Tigger. *shaking head* (Naturally I was too chicken smart to attempt such a thing when TMT visited me. And naturally TMT is a much smarter top than I, and hid her own implements under my bed to use on me later when *I* was out of the room! Don’t you feel sorry for me? Outsmarted by my brat AND my top! *sigh*)

      • Well wait. Alyx , she ain hide them and put the TSA note for true though lol. My hats off to Fizzy , she’s a brat after my own heart. Now don’t let them swing you and try to cause the bosslady to drop it like it’s hot on you tail grrl. Oh Jesus , I’ll be laughin at that for days now. Tell the bosslady I still love her 🙂
Hope that little tidbit will cause her to feel sorry and write a story .

        • Fizzy says:

Thank you for your very ACCURATE defense of me, bahamagirl! 🙂 I know, it would be great to have another TMT story, wouldn’t it? *sigh* I note she doesn’t have a “Bug TMT Here” section on HER website though…hmm… *wheels turning*

  119. Micah says:

Shoot….now Tigger’s getting ideas! I haven’t heard her get this excited about something in quite a while.
I DO feel sorry for you Alyx but I’m glad to hear you used every implement you had because of the ruler incident. That sounds like a great idea! I’ll keep that in mind just in case something like that were to happen for me.
By the way – do you sometimes take Fizzy’s ideas and try them out on TMT? It seems like you have a wealth of creativity and brat brilliance at your fingertips. Between your originality and Fizzy’s abilities you could drive TMT bonkers…..not that I’m trying to instigate anything…

    • bahamagirl1996 says:

Boy Micah , y’all tryin to jam Alyx dred. Run Alyx and don’t look back . I ain ger let them pillar of salt you grrl. I gat ya back .

    • Fizzy says:

I TRY to give her all these helpful suggestions, but she thinks them through and then the top part of her brain kicks in and she says, “Yes, she would laugh…but then I would be very sorry.” Me: “BUT IT WOULD BE WORTH IT.” Alyx: “Hm, I don’t think so.” And then instead of saving this brilliance up for a rainy day, she goes and tells TMT what I tried to get her to do! *rolling eyes*

No, no, using every implement as a punishment was a very BAD response. Because it only got me thinking in the long term about a way to avenge my poor butt. My plot has taken over a year to come to fruition but next time I see Alyx…mwahahahaha! *g*

You are very lucky that Tigger is practically perfect as she says below. 😆

      • bahamagirl1996 says:

Fizzy , I like how you think . Why she had to gone and tell the boss lady man? What kind of darkness that is ? I here backin her and you givin her I might add AWESOME ideas and she go and talk it . Man Alyx I thought you was alittle wicked man , you let me down dred , but there’s still time . Just call 1-800-I don’t want to die know and we’ll send you these guides to safe bratting , but you must act now .
Lemme know if you want to use my visa 🙂

        • Alyx says:

Bahamagirl, your loyalties shift faster than the tradewinds! And you know damn well if you were faced with meeting up with Bosslady you’d sing like a canary. 😆 You talk big, but I’d like to see you try and hand over one of them “Get Out of a Spanking Free” cards to TMT. She’d probably make you clench it between your cheeks while she caned you! *LOL*

          • bahamagirl1996 says:

Boy Alyx you know me oh to well . I’d more than sing like a canary and if I gettin a tannin from her I will also be screaming like a banshee . Ouch ! I feelin that and you only talkin bout it . * Bowing down * I’m sorry Alyx , pls don’t tell on me 😦

    • Alyx says:

Just between the two of us, Micah, I have to admit learning some brat tricks from Fizzy. 😀 Unfortunately TMT is a much stricter top than I am! *g* It’s fun making her laugh, though. 🙂

      • ROTFLMAO – Well these comments made me laugh, Fizzy, Bahama Girl and Micah! (And Alyx, Sweetie – you have your work cut out here – these brats are longing to get you whupped!)

As for those moments when Alyx tries a Fizzyism on me, I can almost hear the slight indrawn breath and raised pulse in the long pause that follows. Darling Alyx knows that one of the most dangerous sounds of all from me is just a quiet ‘Uh-huh….’

(Though Fizzy – she makes me laugh a lot!)

        • Umm , Bosslady Ma’am ,
Please don’t do Aylx in cause we were tryin to jam her jus a lil bit. If anyone needs a good whuppin its me. Just spare my Island grrl please Ma’am and I’ll fly cross there to where you is and gladly take my licks like a big girl. ( Now you mussy know if there’s anything I fear ……its a spanking so you don’t hold ya breathe Ma’am ) Alyx ! You still my friend even though I was plottin gainst you? Remember now , I’m on meds so I can’t be held responsilbe for what I type lil while ago

          • Alyx says:

Bahamagirl, I luv ya but don’t believe a word you say. You say you’re on meds one post, and that you flush them down the toilet in another! I think the medicine you need is a damn good walloping. 🙂

            • I ain shame gal, I HATE to take them . They taste bad Aylx and it makes me more loopie than I already am. I know I need a spanking Aylx babes , but because my health is playin fool I gettin away with all kinda things. Found out that I have Lung Disaese which for some reason came from my so call heart condition ( which I didn’t know I had in the first beginin ) So I’m a brat on the loose but can’t run , or nothin .

              • Alyx says:

Aw, I’m sorry to hear about all your health woes, Bahamagirl. *hug* Maybe it’s time to start behaving yourself a bit more, if you can’t even run away! Lord knows, someone needs to tighten up on that “brat on the loose”! 🙂

        • Alyx says:

Yes, I think these brats want to see me spanked even more than you do! 😉

It’s true, I’ve learned that those times when it seems like TMT is “under-reacting” can be deceptive. *shaking head* Don’t mess with Bosslady, as Bahamagirl says. 😀

        • Micah says:

TMT said: (And Alyx, Sweetie – you have your work cut out here – these brats are longing to get you whupped!)

The girl scout within in cannot tell a lie so I must answer with a resounding YES!!!! Just tell us when and I’ll bring popcorn.
(winking) Sorry Alyx….we just can’t help ourselves.

        • Alyx says:

You’re evil , the lot of you! Just be careful what you wish for, little brats. Because the spanking you’re hankering for may just end up being your own! *warning glare*

          • kiaigrrl says:

Oh but I’ll make you a chocolate margarita too *sweet smile* and bring a nice fluffy pillow for ya *backs away slowly*

            • Alyx says:

Save that pillow for yourself, brat! *SWAT! SWAT! SWAT!*

(Though to be honest I’m tempted by the sound of a chocolate margarita! *g* Can’t even imagine what that’s like!)

  120. tigger0011 says:

I really don’t like this “use every implement in the arsenal” idea at all! Besides, I am NEVER naughty…don’t you know that? I would not do such a thing as hide implements! I am practically perfect, just like Mary Poppins.

  121. Micah says:

I think the key word to remember here is “practically”. I believe Tigger and I have a different definition for the word. But yeah….I admit….I am VERY lucky!
Some day Fizzy, I hope you decide to write a book about your exploits. I envision brats using it as a training manual and Tops reading it as a horror story. Please let me know before you publish it. I want to make sure I hide Tigger’s glasses and Kindle.
Alyx – I have to say, you are a brave woman! Between Fizzy and TMT you have your work cut out for you. You must pick fights with sumo wrestlers just to stay on your toes!

  122. Hi Alyx, I really enjoy reading your stories & the authors/blogs that you suggest. I have read the whole rigel series also. I want to know if there is anywhere else I can go to read more lesbian domestic discipline Stories. I have searched The Internet high and low with no luck. Can you suggest anything?

    • Alyx says:

Hey there Loveonbottom92 (LOL on that name, btw)! We ALL wish there were more lesbian domestic discipline stories! Believe me, if I knew of any I’d mention it! If you’ve checked out all of those on my blogroll and Links tab, then you have pretty much checked out most of the ones I know. In addition, there are some published works which you can purchase. Check out this thread on my messageboard for an example: http://members.boardhost.com/Alyxfic/msg/1425636242.html.

  123. Hi again Alyx!

I’ve read everything i could find online and still wasn’t satisfied. So I decided to start writing my own stories 🙂 if you are not busy and don’t mind, i would greatly appreciate any critique you have to offer.

    • Alyx says:

Hi Loveonbottom92, sorry to take so long to reply, I’ve been a bit preoccupied lately. I think it’s great you started writing your own stories. Part of the reason I started writing kink was a desire to read those kinds of stories myself. There are a bunch of blogs I need to catch up on, but I will add definitely yours to the queue. 🙂 In the meantime, posting on places like the Kilahara Library of Spanking Fiction is a good way to share your work with a lot of readers and get feedback. Good luck!

  124. Emily says:

Hey Alyx! I just want to say I love all your stories! It’s really hard to find some good f/f content like this, all of it is mainly m/f… This site is perfect for a lesbian/spanko like myself. Take care and keep writing! ❤
    -Emily

    • Alyx says:

Welcome, Emily, and thank you for the compliment! I started writing my stories mainly because it was hard to find F/F kink, but fortunately there are lots more authors in that genre right now. Check out my links page and blogs list to see some of them. In any case, I’m really glad you enjoy my work, and thank you for taking the time to say so! 🙂

  125. laineytales says:

Just poppped by to say I loved the story The Education of Adrianne Smith.

    E xx

    • Alyx says:

Hi Lainey! Thanks for popping by, and most of all for letting me know you liked that story. It was a departure for me (being a little more BDSMish than Domestic Discipline), but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was received. I might have to think about writing more like that. 😀
