“Sprints, now!” Coach Cameron barked at Brooke Carter. Brooke skated off without complaint, her long legs gracefully carrying her across the ice. At 23, Brooke stood 5”6 and radiated athleticism. Speeding up for the last leg, Brooke passed Cameron and gave a quick smile. Cameron met her eyes and gave a nod. “You’re getting stronger but we still have work to do. I want you hitting the gym at least four times a week starting tomorrow. If you are having trouble motivating yourself, I can always drop by to monitor your workouts.”
A spark of rebelliousness flashed through Brooke’s eyes as her skating slowed to a stop. “I’m sure I can manage motivating myself, after all I wouldn’t want to interrupt your busy schedule!” Brooke skated off towards the change rooms, trying to shake off the lingering irritation. Screw you Cameron, I’m already missing Christmas because of our game schedule, what more do you want she thought angrily.
Brooke drove up to the beautiful four story Victorian house and parked her car in the driveway. She reached into the back seat to grab her satchel, when she turned around she sat and glared at the house. I want to be home with my family and friends for Christmas, not with Reece and Sawyer, Brooke thought resentfully. She needed a break, being on the team meant that she had to live with them and follow their rules, it hadn’t been bad throughout the semester since academics and athletics took up every minute of her day but it was Christmas break, she deserved freedom. With a groan she lifted her bag and made her way to the front door.
Reece and Sawyer were sitting on the couch when Brooke opened the front door. “Hi Brooke, how was your day?” Reece asked, her attention shifting towards the girl standing before her.
“Good,” Brooke replied with a quick smile, averting Reece’s eyes.
“Cameron called and said you did well at practice today. She also mentioned that she wants you hitting the gym four times a week,” Reece said with raised eyebrows.
Brooke felt the irritation from the day flowing back and her muscles tense. “Yeah, it’s not a big deal.”
“Really? Did you forget that I’m a professor at the very university you attend and I am aware of the workload given to students.” Reece shifted her computer off her lap and locked her eyes on Brooke before continuing on. “Can you handle it with finals coming up?”
“Why was Cameron calling here about me?” Brooke asked, trying to evade the question and keep the annoyance out of her voice.
“Cameron called to see if Sawyer and I would go out to dinner with her and Madison,” Reece said mildly. “I asked you a question Brooke and I suggest you watch that tone when you answer me.” Reece held Brooke’s eyes with her own, waiting for an answer.
“Yes ma’am, I can handle it,” Brooke replied through gritted teeth, remembering Reece and Sawyer’s request to answer with yes ma’am.
Reece looked at Brooke for a long moment, making the younger girl shift under her gaze, before finally responding. “Okay, but if you can’t handle it, Sawyer and I are trusting that you will come to us.”
Sawyer looked at Brooke with sympathy. “I know it’s a stressful time of year with finals and it must be difficult not being able to go home for Christmas but we can’t help you if you don’t talk to us.”
“Really, I have everything under control,” Brooke replied, desperately wanting the conversation to end. With that, Brooke ran up the stairs, ignoring the twinges of homesickness as she took the stairs two at a time. Dropping her bag on the floor of her room, she flopped onto the bed breathless and closed her eyes.
It was Friday afternoon and Brooke had just finished her last final. Rather than celebrate, she sat in the library brooding about missing Christmas.
“CARTER.” Brooke heard her name being called and turned to see Callan coming her way.
“Lookin’ real productive there, Brooke,” Callan said with a laugh before sitting beside her.
“Wise ass,” Brooke replied with a smile.
“You know it,” Callan quipped back. “What do you say about having some fun tonight? A few of us are going to do skip practice to do our own workout. Practice is so boring and I’m not feeling, hmmmm, challenged,” Callan said, her eyes glinting with mischief.
Brooke stared at her, unsure of whether or not she was joking. When Brooke realized she was serious she looked at her incredulously. “Are you crazy? Cameron will kill us if we miss practice.”
Callan laughed. “Come on, it’ll be fun, I know you need to clear your head. Plus what’s the worst Cameron can do?”
Callan did have a point; she needed to clear her head. As Brooke contemplated the offer, she heard Reece’s voice in her head, “I know Cameron will discipline you for any team rules you break, but you can expect that Sawyer and I will discipline you as well, that includes delivering a spanking if we deem it necessary”. A spanking, not in this lifetime, Brooke was confident she could easily outmaneuver them if she had to, no need to worry, they can’t spank me. Brooke turned to Callan and grinned, “so what do you have in mind exactly?”
Later that night Brooke found herself standing outside, shivering against the wind. “You’re not serious,” Brooke groaned.
“Course we are, come on, it’ll be fun!” Callan replied happily. Brooke looked at the hill glistening in the moonlight. “Come on, think of it as a slip ‘n slide but with ice. It’ll be fun and we will get a workout, win-win.” With a sigh, Brooke grabbed a sled and wound her way up the back of the hill.
Across the city, Reece and Sawyer had decided to stay in and decorate the house for Christmas when the phone rang.
“Hi Cameron,” Reece said absentmindedly, watching Sawyer hang the Christmas wreath.
“Reece sorry to bother you but do you know where Brooke is? She didn’t show up for practice.” Cameron spoke through clenched teeth, trying to control her anger.
“What do you mean Brooke didn’t show up for practice?” Reece’s attention snapped to the conversation.
“She isn’t here Reece, seven of the girls didn’t show up and Brooke is one of them.”
“I wish I could say she was here but she isn’t.” Reece rubbed her temple, a stern look forming over her beautiful features, “I really didn’t expect this from her Cameron. I’ll get to the bottom of this and when I do she will be one sorry little girl.” Reece promised. She hung up and looked at Sawyer whose eyes were filled with a mixture of disappointment and anger.
Looking up at the house, Brooke took a deep breath and hesitated before opening the door. They likely didn’t even know and besides, Cameron probably doesn’t care. Trying to seem more confident than she was, Brooke opened the door and slipped into the house.
“Hi Brooke, how was practice?” Reece asked in a deceptively casual tone. Her and Sawyer sat in front of the television, neither particularly happy with their young charge. Their attention shifted to the self-assured girl standing in front of them.
With a deep breath Brooke looked Reece in the eye and replied, “great.” If Brooke had known Reece better she would have seen the flicker that passed through her eyes as a warning. Instead, Brooke stood her ground, holding the older women’s gaze.
Sawyer stepped in, still not believing what she was hearing from Brooke. “Brooke, what did you do at practice exactly?”
“Why do you care,” Brooke replied in an insolent tone.
“That’s enough Brooke!” Reece stood up, her height looking imposing as ever. “You will not speak to Sawyer or I in that tone, ever, do you understand me?”
Brooke stood a bit straighter and folded her arms, silently challenging Reece. Sawyer watched the exchange and stood up, hoping to diffuse the stand off. “Brooke you are in enough trouble, I suggest you sit down, now!” Sawyer’s eyes blazed as she watched the girl casually pull off her jacket and sit on the couch; Brooke had gone too far this time. Sawyer stole a glance at Reece and saw her loving partner struggling to keep her temper under control. “We received a call from Cameron Brooke. Care to explain the discrepancy that has arisen between yours and Cameron’s story?” Sawyer folded her arms over her chest and shot Brooke a stern look.
Brooke looked between Sawyer and Reece; both were standing over her and looking angry as hell. Brooke swallowed and chose her words carefully, “I went to practice, it just didn’t happen to be Cameron’s practice.”
“Excuse me? Brooklyn Emma Carter you knew what I meant when I asked you how practice went,” Reece thundered. “Little girl you are this close to finding yourself in more trouble than you can handle.” Finally Brooke’s brave demeanor started to falter under Reece’s unyielding gaze but she wasn’t ready to back down yet.
“Whatever, I’m leaving.” Brooke realized she sounded flippant but she didn’t care, the adrenaline was wearing off and she felt tired. As she got up, Sawyer stared at her incredulously, how could the girl not understand how much trouble she was in and how close she was to getting her ass paddled?!
As the younger girl stood up, Reece moved swiftly towards her, grabbing her arm and spinning her around. In one fluid motion, Reece started to land solid swats on her bottom. “You will never speak to Sawyer or I that way again, do you hear me?” More swats landed on her bottom and Brooke tried to squirm away. Reece’s grasp only tightened as she continued to land swats on her bottom. “You will sit here and discuss this in a respectful manner otherwise you will not sit comfortably for a week, do I make myself clear.” Each word was punctuated with a swat for good measure. As Reece released her grip, Brooke jumped away.
“Ow ow ow, Reece that hurrrrrt!” Brooke looked at them disbelievingly, “I’m too old to be spanked!”
“You think that was a spanking? Those were swats Brooklyn, and light ones at that. It would be wise to keep that in mind as we discuss your actions.” Brooke’s face flushed red as her defiance wavered.
“Yes ma’am,” Brooke replied. Sawyer inwardly smiled, they had finally gotten through to her about the seriousness of the situation. Aware of the swats she had just received, Brooke slowly sat on the couch.
“Let’s start from the beginning, why did you skip hockey practice?” Reece locked eyes with her waiting for an answer.
“I didn’t!” Brooke watched Reece’s eyes flash and decided to quickly backtrack. “I mean I skipped the formal practice because I saw Callan in the library and she mentioned a few of the girls were doing their own workout to challenge themselves. I didn’t think it was a big deal.”
Sawyer raised her eyebrows, “Did you really believe that? That it wasn’t a big deal? You broke Cameron’s rules and our rules Brooklyn, that is a very big deal”
Brooke looked up at Sawyer, “I get it, okay. I just wanted to clear my head, forget that I wouldn’t be home for Christmas.”
Sawyer smiled sympathetically, ah we should have guessed she thought. “Thank you for being honest with us Brooke but I wish you would have come to us earlier and told us how you were feeling.” Brooke nodded and looked at the floor, fighting back tears.
“What did this practice entail, Brooke?” Reece asked, curious as to what the girl had been up to.
Brooke’s eyes went wide and she stammered. “Well, you see…..”
“Need I remind you how much trouble you are in young lady?” Reece grabbed Brooke’s chin, forcing her to look into her eyes.
“We went tobogganing, on the hill by the river,” Brooke said quickly. Reece let go of her chin and took a deep breath.
“Let me get this straight, you skipped your hockey practice to go tobogganing on that death trap of a hill because you were upset you couldn’t get home for Christmas?” Reece’s voice rose as she spoke. “What were you thinking!?” Brooke opened her mouth to speak but closed it. What could she say?
“I wasn’t. Look I’m sorry, can’t we just forget it, please,” Brooke begged. Both Reece and Sawyer’s hearts melted as they gazed down at Brooke but they knew they couldn’t let this go.
“No Brooke,” Sawyer glanced at Reece, and after receiving a nod, she continued. “We are both disappointed in you, you deliberately skipped practice, lied about it to us, and spoke to us in a disrespectful tone when we asked you about it. None of these actions are acceptable.” Sawyer took a deep breath before continuing on. “Tomorrow morning you will apologize to Cameron for skipping practice and accept any punishment she hands down. You are also grounded for four weeks; you will go to class, practice, and home, that is it. Since we are also confiscating your phone and car, Reece or I will be driving you.”
Brooke hung her head in defeat and nodded. Reece, who had her arm on Sawyer for support, moved towards Brooke. “Now there is the lying to deal with. You lied to us Brooke and that is far more serious than skipping practice. Because you lied to us, you will be getting a spanking tonight.”
Brooke’s eyes went wide and she tried to get up, “No!” She struggled to get away but Reece was quicker and stronger, sitting the younger girl back down.
“Brooklyn, you do not tell me no, you are getting spanked and that’s final. Do not make me get the paddle.” Reece threatened. Brooke sat in silence not daring to speak as she felt her emotions simmer to the surface.
Reece stood up and sat on the couch, looking towards Brooke she spoke firmly. “Come here.”
Brooke slowly rose, resigning herself to the fact that she was going to be spanked. They can spank me but they won’t see me cry she promised herself as she walked over to where Reece was seated.
Reece could see the tension radiating from Brooke as she stood rigidly before her. With an inward sigh, Reece wrapped her arm around Brooke’s waist and drew her closer. With a swift movement, Reece brought Brooke’s jogging pants and panties to her ankles and placed the younger girl over her knee. Brooke shifted, keenly aware of how vulnerable she felt and the placement of Reece’s thighs below her.
Reece placed her hand on Brooke’s pale, white bottom knowing it wouldn’t stay that colour for long. Raising her hand, Reece brought it down quickly, connecting with Brooke’s bottom and leaving a pink imprint of her hand.
“Argh,” Brooke gasped, instinctively trying to squirm away from Reece’s hand. Reece tightened her grip and started to rapidly spank Brooke.
“You will never lie to Sawyer or I again. If you do, this will feel like nothing compared to the spanking you will receive.” Reece continued to pepper her bottom with spanks, watching her bottom turn from a light pink to red. Brooke felt tears sting her eyes as the spanks rained down on her bottom, who knew a spanking could hurt like this she thought. Brooke fought back tears, trying not to cry or show weakness. Reece sensed Brooke’s battle with letting go and continued to spank her while lecturing. “Lying by omission is the same thing as lying young lady, neither of which are tolerated in this household. I want you to remember this spanking the next time you feel the urge to lie to us.” Reece emphasized the last point with hard and fast swats to Brooke’s bottom. Brooke finally gave in and let the tears fall from her eyes, her body shuddering with sobs.
“I’m sorry, I won’t do it again, I promise!” Brooke cried. She just wanted the spanking to stop, her bottom felt like it was on fire and she didn’t think she would be able to sit for a month. Reece delivered ten more swats before ending the spanking, looking down at the red bottom with satisfaction. Lifting Brooke’s shirt over her head, she watched the young girls muscles spasm as she tried to absorb the sobs that racked her body. Placing her hand on her back, Reece started to rub slow circles on Brooke’s back while murmuring in her ear.
After some time, Brooke slowly lifted herself off of Reece’s lap, blushing as she became aware of her nakedness in front of Sawyer and Reece. Sawyer sensed her sudden shyness and got up from her chair to give her a hug, whispering in her ear, “it’s okay, nothing to be embarrassed about.”
Reece got up from the couch and gave Brooke a long hug as well. “I think it’s time for bed.”
Brooke nodded jerkily and responded, “Yes ma’am.”
“Good,” Reece kissed her forehead and looked towards Sawyer questioningly.
Sawyer nodded, it had been difficult to sit and watch the younger girl get spanked and she needed some time alone with Brooke to ensure their relationship was unharmed. Wrapping her arm tenderly around Brooke’s shoulder she led her up to her room.
Downstairs, Reece dialed Cameron’s number and proceeded to relay the night’s events, including Brooke’s punishment, and invited her and Madison to come by the house the next day.
“Thanks Reece, we will be there first thing. Any ideas on how I should punish Brooke, after all I know you practically have a doctorate in discipline” Cameron laughed.
“As I recall, you have first-hand knowledge of my methods but by all means, I can refresh your memory any time,” Reece said with mock sternness. “Goodnight Cameron.”
Brooke woke up the next morning, groaning as her bottom made contact with the bed, why had she been so stupid! She made a mental note to ask about the consequences first before deciding to go rogue.
Wandering downstairs, Brooke saw Sawyer, Reece, Cameron, and Madison putting up a Christmas tree. They turned to her and motioned for her to come to them, “come help, Brooke!” Brooke hesitated before slowly making her way over. Once she reached the group, she looked Cameron in the eye and apologized.
Accepting her apology, Cameron spoke firmly. “You need to go upstairs and get your gym pass for me. Since I can’t trust that you are doing your workouts, I will be supervising them.”
“But that’s not fair!” Brooke cried, earning her warning glares from Reece and Sawyer.
“What’s not fair is you skipping practice and letting your team down,” Cameron asserted. “Keep it up Brooke and you will find out that Reece is not the only one who can warm your backside. I won’t tell you again, go get your gym pass.” Brooke studied Cameron and realized she wasn’t bluffing; Cameron would spank her in front of everyone.
“Yes, ma’am,” Brooke answered, her voice vibrating with frustration. Brooke strode off to get her gym pass, reluctantly handing it to Cameron when she came back.
Taking Brooke’s arm, Cameron guided her away from the others so they could talk privately. Cameron spoke gently, “I know it’s hard being away from home during the holidays Brooke, but you have people here who love you. Sometimes we get caught up with what we want that we don’t see what we have. It might not be what you expected or your ideal Christmas, but embrace it, you don’t know what the holidays will offer you if you let it.”
Brooke listened and chose her words carefully, “you’re right, maybe we can all go for a run tomorrow.” Brooke gave Cameron a hug as the others watched with smiles on their faces.
With that, they took to the task of creating new holiday traditions, memories, and experiences that they would remember forever.
