Happy Hanukkah and Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays in general! It’s been a crazy couple of years, hasn’t it? So much heartache and isolation and sometimes actual trauma. And yet, as we’re only starting to come out of things, it’s hard to recall what we did for 2 years!
I mean, I know I was in a strange sort of hibernation, and at times it seemed endless. Still, it seems to have passed so quickly, and without any real memories to hold onto. I know we’ll never be the same after having lived through this pandemic….it’s almost surreal.
But enough of that. My thoughts are with anyone still going through hard times, including anyone experiencing horrible weather. (As I look outside my window to gentle sunshine and a truly lovely day, thank you Goddess!) In a sort of Christmas tradition, I just wanted to share my favorite rendition of a Christmas carol — Uncle Willy singing “O Holy Night”:
RIP, Uncle Willie! As they say in Hawaii, “Stay give me chicken skin!” 😆
And finally, I did finish my story for the year, yay! As always, find it on the Holiday Exchange page, or click here to be taken directly to the story: Ask and Ye Shall Receive. Thanks to Mil for proof-reading (and constant inspiration 😘).
My deepest thanks to everyone who participated this year. There were fewer submissions than usual, but every year I fear that there won’t be any, and yet am always joyfully surprised by wonderful people sharing their talents and their hearts. Bless you all, and everyone who encourages them! 🤗 💐 🎄
