I hope everyone is having a good holiday season (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule, etc.)! It’s a time for traditions, so I will post my favorite rendition of a Xmas carole, which “O Holy Night” by Willie K:
The other thing I will post is my Christmas story. It seems like the most last minute I have ever been, but Mil assures me that I have been worse in the past. (We even had a $10 bet on it….I hate it when she’s right! 😆)
Anyway, you can find it on the Holiday page. And it goes out with a special nod to Bystander, who requested a story about having someone to hold you accountable when you’ve let life run away from you. It didn’t turn out to be the story I wish I’d written (funny how things always seem better in your imagination), but — in the spirit of the message of the story — I’m going to give myself a pass on not living up to my expectations.
It’s been a tough year (again). Thank you all for your participation, your support, and for just being fellow human beings struggling through this together. It means a lot. 🙏
P.S. To all you who have submitted gifts which I haven’t commented on yet, I apologize. I didn’t want to allow myself to read any stories until after I’d completed writing my own. Now I can reward myself and will be commenting soon! 🙌
And in spite of everything, you still host the exchange, same as ever.
🤗
Well, it’s an honor and pleasure to host when we have participants like you to be thankful for, Woodsy! 😃
