Annual Holiday Exchange, and a request

Well, it’s that time of year again (how did it go so fast??). I’m not sure if anyone is up for the Global Village annual holiday exchange, where we create “gifts” to share with the other villagers. It’s been a heck of a year, and I know I for one can’t believe it’s the second Christmas that we’re spending under the shadow of this blasted pandemic. 😷

But I am going to be writing a story this year, because a villager has requested a story with a certain theme. Bystander said: “I’ve been trying to find a story that will help me, you know the kind where you’re in a situation and you wish you had someone you’re accountable to that will help you to regain the footing you lost along the way.…. I was wondering if someone could please write a story involving a spanking for comfort and also discipline and a conversation about allowing life to run away from you. Sort of in the terms of putting everything and everyone before yourself to the point of being overwhelmed and burnt out.”

So if anyone else wants to write a story like that, I’m sure she (and many other people) would appreciate it. However you don’t have to write a story with that theme, or any story at all, to participate in the holiday exchange. You can submit a picture, a poem, a puzzle, anything creative at all! Simply post it on your blog/website and send me the link, or send me the work and I will post it on my website.

And even if you don’t want to submit anything, you can still participate by viewing the gifts and letting the creators know how much you enjoyed it. I know that is appreciated just as much as anything.
